I have a hard time with the demons , they look a bit over the top .
They're really my least favorite part of the trailer , that bit looked like a fashion photoshoot in Hell.
Am I hallucinating on the second demon , the red one has a dress on?
Is red lyrium turning people into this?

Our trailer was "in engine" in that, it was DA3 assets placed inside the Frostbite engine within existing DA3 levels, and people loading up the game and moving around the camera, creating cinematic sequences, and the like, for the intent of capturing a video for demonstration.
I assume you're talking about this flag?Yanagi Uxinta wrote...
Bit late to this, but the trailer finally drove me to make an account last night. Did anyone else think that the standard/flag in the background of the trailer during the shot of the qunari looked like the banners of the Sabrae Clan? It looked like a more detailed version with different colours, but essentially the same symbol. Thoughts?

Oh good catch there Yanagi Uxinta and MisterJB. Since the qunari is standing there could there be something going on with the Dalish and the Qunari? Allies or enemies?MisterJB wrote...
You know you may actually be onto something there. Check this out:
Both banners appear to exhibit the skulls of halla but that, byt itself, is not really conclusive. But now, check out what is beneath the flag next to the qunari.
Holy Crap! It's a Daar'misan, a blade exclusive to the Dalish!

An alliance between the Elves and the qunari?!

Was it real time or pre-rendered though? Cause so many games ( I think Origins and DA2 included) have their cutscenes all pre-rendered and compressed to hell and back. If that trailer was a cutscene in the game, would it be able to run in real time or would it have to be prerendered and ruined via Bink?
I think it's an alliance. Why would the qunari start a battle with the elves? They pretty much have nothing and most of them are isolated from the rest of the world.Yanagi Uxinta wrote...

Or possibly a battle between the two - this could be the end result of a fight.

I see what you mean. Maybe the elves and qunari are ready to start a war with the humans? The elves blame the humans for their population decreasing and for a starting a war with them- 2 wars I believe. And the qunari hate the humans probably since the humans drove them out of Kirkwall.Yanagi Uxinta wrote...

Very good pointI was judging purely on the atmosphere set by the trailer, which isn't the most peaceful XD
I was rather confused by the term "open world," since I was under the impression that you guys weren't going to go that route. Is it only meant to imply "more open than DAO, but not full Skyrim 'open' "?Allan Schumacher wrote...
I agree that transitions can help with a sense of scale. Unless we went with a more uniform setting, I think it'd be a negative to have very different climate setting all within the same map.
The sense of scale was part of the motivation for still having separate levels.
