If you look closely at the 'no horns' picture, you'll see the dragon has pushed its head fully forwards and flat to roar. The horns are still there, they're just now parallel to the line of its neck. You can clearly see one pointing back towards its body in the image.
All I can say about the distinctly corrupted-looking dragon is that it looks like its either suffering from demonic possession, or the darkspawn have been at it. Neither are particularly comforting options if you happen to be Orlesian!
Now, I'll freely admit that trailer videos don't set me alight for the game ahead. Except...erm...this one actually did. Am definitely looking forward to seeing more of what's to come from DA3 now. I'm not ruling out future epic rants if it turns out to feel like Kirkwall Adventures all over again, but for no immediately obvious reason this video has managed to flick a switch that reminded me that, at heart, I'm still a huge fan of Bioware and the DA series.
It hasn't made me forgot just how much I disliked DA2, I'm not sure anything will ever do that, but it has given me the first glimmer of hope that this is a masterpiece in the works and not DA2 part deux.
That DAI will not be a DA2 part deux I really do not expect to begin with.
There will be some features that were introduced there (voiced MC, cheese wheel and such) of course as has been clearly stated by BW.
As far as the storyline goes; part of it will be about the mage/templar war which DA2 was the prelude for, telling a story about a person that survived the blight in DAO and went to Kirkwall where things took place. For me the story of the Thedas world is naturally evolving and that is something that is appealing for me in the franchise.
How the game overall will be set up in terms of combat, camera etc (all the technical stuff) is another matter. Untill actual footage about that is released all we can do about that is guess/discuss and hope that what we would like to see will be implemented
