1. Varric: He Looks amazing in the new engine and i hope he will be a companion (and LI)
2. Dat Qunari. Didn't really think he looked that good until he turned arround and I just love that guy's face. Sexiest Qunari ever... and possibly that "Iron Bull" Character from the leaked Survey...?
3 Morrigan. Amazing Dress (Looks very orlesian to me), amazing face and it is MORRIGAN! Finally we see her again. Really exited to find out how she's involved in all of this. ^^

At first I was underwhelmed. I didn't recognize Varric at first, didn't recognize the voice immediately, though the trailer was a bit jumbled, and I mistook the graphics for CGI, which made me disappointed due to the lesser quality when compared to the Sacred Ashes for DA:O and Destiny for DA2.
Then I read some comments and watched it again. And my mind is blown with excitement. I thought it was great. I loved to See Morrigan, Varric and what I assume is Cassandra. And since they showed the Arishok (or what I presumed to be him), I can only hope that Sten will reappear (since my Hawke slew the Arishok in single-combat and Sten returned to the Qunari after DA:O).
I'm also fascinated by this rupturing of worlds we saw, when the Fade apparently materialized in Thedas. Makes me wonder if it will be a mayor threat that is set to the backdrop of other conflicts (the Mage-Templar War, Orlesian Civil War, Elven uprising in Orlais etc), similarily to DA:O.
I wanted to see the protagonists face though, not just his characteristic red cloak.
And the in-game graphics look great, also I don't really mind the redesign of the characters. I can still see who they are, and they still look like themselves.
I actually suspect the Qunari was a Tal Vashoth - we learned a bit ago about a character called the Iron Bull, a Tal-Vashoth leader of a mercenary group. The fellow in the trailer lacked the markings we saw on all the Qunari in DA2, which, combined with the recent information about the existence of the Iron Bull character, suggests to me that's who we saw.
But, of course, I could also be totally wrong!

The trailer looked good but considering what I've seen, this whole epic war concept, I don't really see how can BioWare do this NOT involving PCs from previous parts. Particulary The Warden.
Especially if the Warden romanced Morrigan and went through the Elluvian with her. Kind of hard in that case to exclude the Warden, but not all Wardens did this (in fact I expect only a minority did).

CGI was horrible, Bioware really is failing. Trailer did nothing to make me interested in the game, that's too bad, I miss old Bioware.
Except that this wasn't a CGI, this was the actual game footage.

The whole "fade ripping through" gives me a huge Warcraft 3 feel with the Burning Legion. Leads me to question what happens to the Fade now? Do people still go there? Do demons still want to possess mages? Do they just want to rip people apart? Are they involved? If so, goddammit Anders.
Thank you - I knew that Fade breaking Scene reminded me very strongly of something. Of course it was that Warcraft 3 Trailer. Didn't like that Scene much to be honest. Weird demon designs, Dragon, Meteors... I Need to rewatch that Warcraft Trailer, didn't it have the exactly same looking Meteors in it?

And it looked terrible. At least we know why Morrigan wasn't in part 2, she was off having plastic surgery.

Cassandra looks really derpy. Liking Morrigan, though.
I also really hope this isn't just another gather-your-army deal. We already had that how many times?

I hate cassandra's new look.
I like it. Her new looks match her voice. Though i' d prefer the voice in the anime.

I like it. I think she's pretty, though she would be prettier if her jaw wasn't so wide. Still a looker though. And I thought Morrigan was pretty as well. Varric as well, in a strange manly dwarf way...

True, I seem to remember something about an Iron Bull... Or it might just be a random Qunari, who knows!? Well, the developers probably do, but they don't count...

So far, the confirmed returns are Varric, Bianca, Cullen, Cassandra, and Morrigan. Likely to return are Flemmeth and Lelianna (They said they would like to explain how she was brought back).
Where did they say that? I'm genuinely interested. o.o

I just really hope the reason that Varric looked so sad wasn't that we knew the person in this bag.
"none shall be untouched by the fires above"
I wonder who it is?
Hawke is my guess. Or someone from that group.
That would be a tearjerker...

Varric looks awesome. I was always iffy about how some wanted to romance him in 2, but that Varric? If he were an option, he'd be the first one I'd pick. Looking pretty tired, though.

Well, it is sort of what people wanted, something in that epic Fantasy scheme of things over the more grounded approach in Dragon Age II.
To be honest its why I liked Dragon Age II, it was grounded. Inquisition looks like unbridaled chaos and the world is literally falling apart.

I read one of Bioware post where they said they would at least want to clarify her resurrection. It was a long time ago when people keep making posts about retcon. I'm not sure if they will explain it in this game or some other forms of media like the comic though, so that's why I said "likely".Mademon wrote...

Very interested to learn more. Wondering if the dragon was a Flemeth redesign. Wondering if the Dragon was an uncorrupted Old God. Wondering who or what tears open the Fade. Wondering what some of the new demons represent. Was that a Rock Wraith?
Wondering if Cassandra was stabbing a random spot on the map, or if that was an unlabelled target in the South of Orlais. Wondering about the various troop buildups shown on the map, particularly the blue force in the far northwest corner. Curious about the creepy Seeker plate helms. Wondering who is attacking the Wardens, and if it's the Seekers, why?
Wondering if Varric was outside Kirkwall. Wondering what flag that was blowing in the wind during Varric's battlefield pullback. Wondering if the battlements with the huge raptor statue overhead was the inland side of Kirkwall. Wondering if the Qunari are returning to Kirkwall. Wondering if Varric wasn't mourning one of Hawke's companions (Guard Captain Aveline?), though the body seemed small, based on Varric's size. Another Dwarf? Varric has huge hands?
Lots to speculate on.
Edit: Morrigan - Was that a Nevarran necklace?

Now, I'm not sure that everything that has been shown will be use for the background.Remember the teasers & trailers of DA2, and specially the Morrigan's clones army.It never happened.Surely, there was a huge "flashback" interest in "the fire bove", like Kirkwall in fire.It reminds me the very end of DA2.And what about the Qunaris, will they return for a destoyed city?

Also is that dragon actually Morrigan? Or OGB?
New demons (if they are demons and not creatures from the eluvian realm) look nice - they used to be rather generic for creatures who come from a place where imagination is what defines reality.
