While I was hoping it would be released only for the PC and next generation consoles, (and no, I'm not some rich snob that will have $400-$500 dollars to blow on the PS4 or One right away, it's quite likely I won't have one of the new consoles by the time Inquisiton releases) it's not a huge deal that it's also releasing on the current generation as well. Who knows, Inquisition might still take advantage of the better hardware of the One and PS4. Earlier this morning I read an article about Inquisiton that included a quote from a BioWare dev stating they might use the Xbox One's cloud capabilities for DA:I processing. So the PS4, One, and PC versions might not be just graphically nicer than the PS3 and 360 versions.

I think people will be wondering if there's a Mac OS X version as well, since I think the other two games were on that platform.

Unfortunately, Laidlaw said there wouldn't be. I think he mentioned it on his twitter feed. I wish I could find the tweet...

Why did he say that? Did the first two games not sell [well] on the Mac?

Maybe they're PC gamers who are sick and tired to play video games that were designed to run on glorified calculators? The PS4 and the XBOX one are much better hardware-wise.

In my opinion those who cheer for DAI being current gen are backwards nostalgics who cant deal with the fact that their system has been outdated for SEVERAL YEARS and brought the whole gaming industry to halt in terms of innovations and improvements.

Now after almost a decade a new gen system arrives and they still hold on their old systems. What would you call that?

I'm not a pc gamer, I'm on xbox360 and I see first hand how limited that console is. da2 was what it was mostly because of consoles limitations.

And to those who say that they don't want to buy a new console on day 1: you don't have to. It will take another year for the game to be published. And in any case, you can wait to purchase the game. Preferring a bad game on current gen to a much better game on next gen only because you don't want to wait it's childish.

But bioware have made their decision, this is a pointless discussion.
