PLEASE do not turn this thread into another Mages/Templars-Flamebait.
The Mage-Supporters are welcome to open their own Appreciation-Thread, but let this one be reserved for the faithfuls of the divine order, that is the Templars

Templar-Friends unite, and post your thoughts and wishes for DA3!
How do you want to end the war in DA3?

Back to the old ways?
Make a compromise?
Total annihilation/tranquilisation?

Anything you want, discuss it here.
PEACEFULLY!

After two games of supporting the mages, I think it's time for a balance. I'm with the Order this time around.

I'll continue to do what I have been doing the whole time in this series. Trying to reconcile the two sides as they are both needed in the world.

After what I saw in the trailer. Mages are just too dangerous to have around period. but I would like to get mages to join the fight against the fade demons et al. But I doubt Circles will work anymore.

Well I try to role play each character (my warden was pro mage, hawke was pro templar). Obviously dont know which way protagonist I is going to go but that trailer made the mages look pretty dangerous.

After Legacy, the Chantry seems to be right about many things so I may support the Seekers this time around. In DA2 I had too much emotional attachment (Bethany) to side against the Mages but after reading Asunder and seeing the carnage in the trailer....

If I encounter Hawke and her sis in DA3 defending the mages though, I absolutely will not be able to kill them. Same goes for Ferelden; those are two things I will die protecting, even if the game forces me to change my stance.

I for one will at least try to reach a compromise.
My ideal situation would be to grant the Mages a few own citiys, isolated from the rest of the society, where they can do whatever they want, can be visited and if they prove themself, they can also travel.
Freeroaming Circles, if you wanna call it like that.

But if destiny wants it that way, than my Char will crush them under my heel. Better a world without Magic than a world without Safety.

I remember that at least two of my Hawkes supported Templars.
Now, if only DA2 had that nifty DA:O feature, allowing me to follow character story on BSN, it would be easier to remember, which ones I should sign up here... ;)

Sure balance is good.

I also like the idea of attacking the Wardens,

or coming to their aid which ever

Well, quite frankly, you shouldn't have made this thread one.

If I encounter Hawke and her sis in DA3 defending the mages though, I absolutely will not be able to kill them. Same goes for Ferelden; those are two things I will die protecting, even if the game forces me to change my stance.

Any time you act against the mage rebellion, you're making it easier for the templars to kill them and contributing to their deaths. Just so you know.

I suppose the Seekers are the closest thing, given the war room scene. No elves in the trailer, either. I'm sure new trailers will eventually feature the templars, and perhaps give us some more insight into what our options might be for Inquisition.

Interestingly true, but the Seekers are part of the same general problem. Though Cassandra's faction might not be... hmmm.

The Templar is no more, because the Chantry is no more. Who want to provide them Lyrium?

Furthermore, Templar base is actually the Circles, i never see or never know any Templar station/head quarters in the game or anywhere other than the Circle. Because the Circle is no more because the Mages have rebelled, we can assume all Templars are dead, if there are survivors, they are just lyrium addicts and cannot rebuild the order, have no money and no lyrium

Edit : maybe the Templar survivors join The Inquisition/Seeker instead similar like in real history where Knight Templar survivor joinning Knight Hospitaler when The Order of Knight Templar being disbanded by the Church
