Considering it's been years, I'm wondering how the psych of the mages in Andoral's Reach have been impacted. They're probably not feeling too comfortable and are probably weakened.

Ah, yes. So it looks like I was right after all; the epilogue is just another chapter. Also, the rebellion won't unravel.Youth4Ever wrote...
Watching Fiona's ill-fated rebellion unravel is my porn.Xilizhra wrote...
The prologue isn't there in my version of the book, so I can't say. Ultimately, we don't know, but I seriously doubt your torture porn fantasy will come true.
And the entire point is to make them give up and go back without bloodshed.
EDIT: Oh, yeah. And epilogue. Not prologue. Wrong book.
Finally, all blood necessary will be shed from any templar who doesn't surrender.
Only if you assume that they're losing. Why would you?Disillusioned by now, I would think. Many should be ready to parley. That is a good thing.

Anyway, can we go back to actually supporting the Templar instead of being distracted by the proletarians?

And? For that matter, do we even know if the templars marched right then? Lambert's dead, there was almost certainly going to be some organizational fallout from that.Youth4Ever wrote...

Meaning they've clearly found a sustainable food source, if indeed all of the mages are there. And we still don't know if the templars were actually able to attack them.Youth4Ever wrote...
And that means the mages are still at Andoral's Reach two years later.

I doubt the mages outrange a trebuchet... And I also doubt the mages have the manpower to resist a prolonged siege. The mages would be able to sally forth and break the siege, if the besiegers hadn't been Templars, who would like nothing more than to engage them in open warfare...Xilizhra wrote...
Now they have a fortified position to defend, from a much longer range (which vastly favors the mages; hell, a fireball in the right spot in snowy mountains could trigger an avalanche and waste whole columns of templars). Food is harder, but I can't answer that because I don't know the details of the environment.Hazegurl wrote...

Elements? No need to worry about that, they can make fire. Starvation may or may not be an issue. And the templars... I think you greatly underestimate the power of a collective of mages all in one place. They could very well repel the templars. Especially if Lambert suddenly turns up dead before the march.@Hazegurl; A reality for many, I'm certain. Claimed by the elements and/or lost to starvation. Some will leave and make a deal with Justinia V when things become unbearable, the rest will fight the templars when they come-- many will die, and the survivors will scatter to... we don't know yet.
The same collective mages that were beaten by the Templars and thrown in their cells?
Although you are right about that fire, but what food can they conjure up? Like Youth4ever says, it's gonna be a long winter for those mages.

I am decently sure there was a mage supporter thread hereabout. Can't the mage supporters go there and have fun? We are busy oppressing here.

Oppression is a mage supporter's food and water. They can't stay away.

Afterwards, it can be rebuilt and repopulated with a new Mage Society that behaves itself, without any Slavery.
