When the Spammers discovered that BSN was an easy target to flood with their crap, none of the "Report" functions were working in order to report those accounts and have them shut down in time to do anything.  Direct PMs were the only workable way to pass the word that one or more of them were flooding one or more forums.  Without that access, many such infestations could and would persist for many days before anyone did anythig to clear it all out. 

Selene was always good about checking such reports, while also consistently ignoring Friend Association suggestions.

Eurypterid was less private, however, he hasn't been avalable nearly as often lately as in the past. 

What do you plan to do to improve the 48 to 72 hour delay that was the original rule with the Report function when it used to work by sending your report from here to EA before it could ever reach the Moderators at BSN?

The report function has been overhauled in the back end.

We're actually watching it right now as reports are coming in, and it looks like the moderators are able to quickly deal with them as they arrive.

If there is something bigger happening, please put the information in the description of the report, the message will get to them.

I will be interested to see that it does work. I have been disappointed so many times by BSN in comparison to the Legacy forums that it hardly seems possible the place could get even worse, but this chance has that potential. I know, no one cares whether I bought Baldur's Gate New all those years ago and so many more games with Bioware's impratur on it since then, and was plank holder for the forums at Black Isle, and at the Legacy Forums as well.

But I was there back when the Internet was just a babe, 1993, I think, and forums were on Bulletin Boards that you had to dial in to reach, paying long distance rates, until WWW happened and the Internet started to become what it is now. Before that, we played the games, but we really had trouble getting patches, in 1983 and before that . .

Been dealing with issues submitted to the REPORT system all day. Pretty smooth so far.

If its working well that is a great thing. "report this post" is right there with a link and a lot quicker/simpler then finding a mod.

Known many a poster that were not even aware there was a moderator list at the bottom of the page.

Still working great, and there is now a system to keep track of issues, whether they are addressed, and by which Moderator. And with the new Moderators on the BSN, I haven't had to do nearly as much Moderating work as I used to.

Ignored mine Ninja Stan. What good is it anyway ? The sytem needs a lot more thorough overhauls.
