I mean, toy guns?......Seriously?! Are schools going to start demanding that children turn in their action figures, super soakers, and video game since they all supposedly "desensitize and promote violence"? No matter what is done, children are still going to know that guns exist. They will even form their fingers in the shape of a gun and pretend to shoot eah other if that becomes their last resort (unless children will get sent to prisons for doing that).

People need to understand that when it comes to weapon violence of any kind, it is the person, not the weapon who is responsible. The weapon is just an extension of the person who wants to commit certain actions. Banning anything that even resembles a gun does not stop the malicious intentions. In fact, all this does is punish law-abiding citizens while making it easier for criminals to commit their evil deeds since they have more firepower than those who are forbidden from protecting themselves. Seriously, do people really think that criminals will follow gun laws?

Bank robber: "Well... since this state does not like guns, I will just use this knife to threaten and kill anyone who gets in my way. Though I hope my charismatic personality will be enough to persuade the bank tellers to give me money." Can I just say....BULL****

How far are we going to go to stop violence? Will knives be banned? Screwdrivers, bats, chains, saws, ropes? Will the government decide that we should all chop off our limbs so that we are always unable to kill anyone? When will this madness end?

To get into this or not... I feel like a random sarcastic comment that makes a vague point which will no doubt be ignored and/or missed will suffice.

Clearly the only design intention of a chain is to kill living things and it is as effective and efficient at killing as a gun is.

and now I'm off to do... whatever it is that I do around here.
