We finally get a visual glimpse of Thedas post Kirkwall. I'm thinking during the battles between the Templars and the (non-pro-circle) Mages, Flemeth takes this opportunity to proceed with her plans, what ever that may be-- and assuming the dragon from above is Flemeth.

With the trailer considered, was Anders still just in becoming a martyr? Or would an alternative such as the Chantry, Circle (as it was pre-Anders) and Thedas team up against Flemeth been better? Not to mention the threat of the Qunari, whom were pretty vocal as a threat as far back as DAO. Despite what you think of the Circles: Was civil war really a good idea during a time with so much future uncertainty?
