So what is your opinion on Morrigan, Varric & Cassandra's new looks?

Not what you wear in a forest or living in a Eluvian (well maybe the world beyond is really fancy)
Wonder if Morrigan is getting involved in political stuff ...she sure is up to something.
And she's Flemeth daughter ...

No he's not. He's being very rude.
Morrigan is a legend in Dragon Age lore. Most of us took Morrigan heroine in DA:O, because of how awesome she was, and then never had it again. For years, there's been speculation as to what became of her, the warden, the child, etc. Now Bioware played the Morrigan card (and rightly so) to create hype for the game. And once we discuss her, they call us misogynistic?
Gotcha.
Because her appearance is what we saw in the trailer and thus the only new friggin' thing of her to talk about.
- Theorize about her role in the story.
- What do you think she's been doing since she left?
- How many words can you make by rearranging the letters of her name?
That's just off the top of my head.
Yet instead of creating threads about those topics you jump into one that talks about her appearance and begin whining about the topic of discussion while offering nothing else yourself in the form of other topic threads?

I will add that, due to America's patriarchal culture, men are under considerably less pressure to look good than women.
This has always been the case in pretty much every culture ever. It's not "the patriarchy", it's mostly (though of course not entirely) biological.

Really like it; she actually looks older than her Origins model. Leliana in DA2 looked younger than her Origins' model, and I was concerned they'd reverse age ALL the women.
Like the Soul Calibur series?

The trailer gave no clues whatsoever on any of these subjects, except maybe for the dress she was wearing, which seems to be Orlesian. What her role is and what she's been up to is all just as much speculation as before the trailer, so has already been done to death. The only new thing to talk about thanks to the trailer is Morrigan's new look, because other than that it was just the regular vague impending doom talk.

Whether or not she's real, or has feelings to be hurt, is rather beside the point.
Nonsense. It is no different to saying this character looks odd, his jaw looks out of proportion and just not right.
Her facial polygon features to me is no different though less extreme. Her jaw and lips when mouth closed looks fine but when open it appears distorted to me and odd. From the curvature of the lips on the character model to the jawline when the mouth is opened. I am beginning to get concerned about lack of distinction to some people between what is real and what is a work of fiction.
Characters are allowed to look odd. They are allowed to be ugly. They are allowed to have disfigurements (quelle horreur!).
Yes, Morrigan isn't real. That means you cannot bone her. Ergo, complaining that she's a butterface is stupid.

Sorry but in a thread talking about her appearance, my comment about the technical problems I consider with it are valid. If you do not like the topic of appearance being discussed, then go make a thread about something else.

Morrigan looks a bit different, but in a very positive way. She's much more realistic and they worked really hard to make her look like that. If you can do better, then please start creating your own games. You had a bit different image of her in your mind? It's devastating, how could they give her different lips than you imagined? This ruins the character!
Why do you care so much about her looks? She's still herself, only tweaked here and there and this is what really matters. And dissecting the look of each and every female character in that way (her jaw is too square, her lips too wide- she's ugly, give me someone that looks like a super- model) is a bit misogynic.
I really like both her and Cassandra in the trailer, hope they'll look like that in game.

Culture has little to do with that. Men and women select their mates based on different characteristics because men and women play different roles in the process of producing offspring.
