A girl I dated in college just looked me up on Facebook--I hadn't seen her in 20 years, still remembered her as a smokin' hawt girl in her early 20s. Seeing pictures of her as an almost middle-aged woman was disorienting. It's always funny, when you reach your 40s, to meet the adults your young friends have aged into.

I have to admit that Morrigan has aged more gracefully than I have. I suppose I also have to admit that I still and always will have a thing for her.

To me there's still something weird going on in the picture in which her mouth is still closed (higher up this page). The eye-obscuring hair is also bad. I can say from experience that having a lock of hair cover one entire eye is very, very annoying.

They went from a rather normal horizontal with a slight arch, to "I'm so angry!"

And I kinda have a bit of the 'Veronica Lake' thing going on myself, and I'd have to agree. Most of the time, I pull my hair back behind my ear, lest I start going medieval.

If Morrigan stays the same, no not interested. Since she's probably going to be an npc and not a party member how hot she is or was doesn't matter. Won't repeat the argument about aesthetics . shrugs.

As a guy with long hair, I'm fine with a strand or two over my eye, ponytail or otherwise, but too much(like with what she's got going on) and I've got to move my hair the hell back.

Definitely don't want your hair obscuring your vision in a war(That girl that was supposed to be Ashley in ME3, ugh). Then again, we don't know if Morrigan's gonna be warring.

I am not involved in any war and still like to use both my eyes.

Lies! Nothing is better than an eyepatch. I'd actually be pretty excited about Morrigan the Pirate.

my personal opinion is that they had a great morrigan model from the sacred ashes trailer, coulda just aged her ten years and hey presto! up to date morrigan.

Glad things seem to have calmed down. Some people seem to take criticisms of these characters appearances personally. One person even had the gall to say I was the only person who didn't like Morrigan' new look. absurd. People have commented about it on other forums and on youtube. Glad to see it here as well. shrugs. We'll see what happens with it over the next year.

Yeah, it's unfair. If you took a picture of someone while talking, chances are they will have a derpy face in the picture. For reference, maybe you should look at the very first picture on this thread. There she looks even better and Morrigan from the right looks very bad.

The Sacred Ashes trailer unless I'm mistaken was done by Blur.

Sacred Ashes Morrigan was NEVER going to be in-game Morrigan. Same with Sacred Ashes Leliana, who I felt looked better than her in-game counterpart.

Basically at least in my opinion, SA Morrigan<DAO Morrigan, SA Leliana>DAO Leliana.

This trailer, though using the engine, I'm perceiving as an early draft of how characters look. They'll change, I bet.

I'm not really bothered by Morrigans new appearance, and she's my canon Origins romance.. so... >.>. I mean, the only real difference I can notice is that her cheeks are fuller, and people do tend to put on weight when they get older... so. If anything, I'm actually annoyed that she doesn't look her age at this point; she's what, 40 something? Where the frack are her wrinkles. D:

Cassandra is butchered, genuinely didn't recognize her until I saw her iconic armour.

Varric though, oh my god. I never, ever thought a Dwarf in a fantasy setting could be hot. I don't even know what's changed about him, but if he isn't a S/S romance, manly tears will be shed by me. I demand a bi-curious, attractive Varric!

Morrigan looks good. Varric turned into a cowboy and Cassandra now has a man jaw where before she had a feminine look that went well with her sharp 'don't mess with me' attitude.

Its been quite evenly split throughout the thread with slightly more positive views than negatives.

I'm sure it's been discussed already but does their appearance in the trailer represent what they will look like in the final game?

As I recall the first trailer for Origins had a very different looking Morrigan and Leliana compared to what was in the game.

As far my own opinion, I think Varric and Cassandra look good. Morrigan...I'm not quite decided yet.

Yes and no. This was an in engine trailer so its what they look like in game right now. How much they will be tweaked in over a years time for the final game we can only speculate.

If this is more like in-game footage, then I'm glad BW is moving this direction in their art. It's way better than the generic DA2 style. I think Morrigan and Cassandra look fine. And finally, Morrigan has more clothes on.

Varric looks a little "pretty-boy"ed up though. I thought the dwarf was a close relation to him, actually. His hair is not as receded back and his jaw isn't as pronounced. Most importantly, his CHEST HAIR is noticeably inconspicuous. This is an outrage!

I know this is a trailer, but it does give me a little hope about he game and makes me thnk that it's going in the right direction.
