What your posts indicate is that you believe most of the Bioware employees on these forums are not intelligent, that you think DA:I will be rubbish, and that the Witcher will be better than this game. You don't post any links as to what you hate about the devs, and you clearly have nothing to add to either the topic of this thread, nor the game as a whole, other than 'it sucks'. Nothing about your posts indicate a willingness to discuss this game in any intelligent dialogue, and it's clear that you are extremely bored, and acting in a trollish behaviour, hence my suggestions.

So I ask again, why are you even on these forums?

I do find it hilarious, however, that after saying how you think DA:I will be terrible, you're still considering buying it as a 'possible future side-hobby'. Typically, one avoids buying games that they believe will suck.

I think I'll end this 'discussion' here though. Reading so many troll posts in one day have obviously started to get to me, and I have a sudden desire for a beer.

1. People do not respond to points on this forum, they respond to tone. This makes it difficult for any reasonable discussion ever.

2. "it sucks" is my conclusion, I have given reasons why I think it will *probably* suck. This leads into

3. I very deliberately included the word possible to avoid the point regarding my buying it you made. It was a wasted effort though, apparently. I will not buy it if it looks awful, I will buy it if it looks good. At the moment I think its probable that it will suck. If that changes I will buy it.

Your entire line of argument about my motivation for logging on the forum really is pathetic though; you really should just stop.

Didn't he just say he was done though? You're just trying to antagonize him now.

I would rather a game be judged on its own merits rather than against other games. Also it is difficult to judge a game based on a short trailer when there is another 15+ months of development.

Personally I liked the look of Varric, Cassandra and Morrigan (shame no Varric chest hair!). And the trailer itself. Looking forward to seeing more.

Whilst nice and idealistic I'd say that is a naive attitude. DAI is infact competing with the new witcher, and comparisons between the 2 games are valid. Those morons on the forum who think their anecdotal response that "they will/should buy both games" is a valid argument or that it changes anything are wrong.

Ok well in that case, I too have seen the Witcher trailer and to be perfectly honest I vastly preferred DAI's offering.  The Witcher looked pretty enough but rather generic to me while DAI's engaged my emotions and made me want to join the fight.  Therefore if I was forced to play only one RPG (based only upon the trailers) I would without hesitation pick DAI.  Apparently you had the opposite response.

So what?  Good for you and good for me!  We've both found games that appeal to us, isn't life wonderful like that.  Now can we please get back to nitpicking about the lack of Varric's chest hair.  Image IPB

I didn't mind Morrigan's hair at first.. Now I'm kinda wishing her other eye wasn't covered. She conveyed a lot of emotion through those eyes in Origins, loved that about her.

Agreed. (plus the jaw and lips need tinkering with imho)

Otherwise I'm hopefully optimistic.

Morrigan's new look is alright. She certainly looks and sounds a little older now. Her lips are pretty damn big? It's great to see Cassandra will be in the game. I hope she will be a companion and love interest, rather than an enemy, because it looked like she lead the Seekers to attack the Grey Wardens. I wonder what role the Inquisition will play in the Seekers-Grey Wardens attack.

There is this one for all three characters: HERE

None for Morrigan specifically.

they look good, a little "beaten" but that's a good thing considering

For Cassandra, I think she's evolved to have a really unique facial structure.  I adore her new look- it makes her stand out and look unusual, exotic, strong.

I miss Morrigan's pouty lips but the rest of her facial proportions look lovely.

For Varric, I'm actually a little sad.  Here's why:

1)  chest hair covered by breastplate and a kerchief that reminds me of Aveline.

2)  the proportions of his face have changed dramatically from DA2.  In DA2, his face was sort of split into thirds, with forehead/eyes to lips/chin and jaw each taking up a third of his face.  He had a sort of Leno-esque abundance of chin, and it sort of reminded me of the traditional caricature of a "manly man" a la Dudley Do Right or Disney's Gaston.  That plus the chest hair was part of my overall impression of Varric's status as "The man your man could look like" of Dragon Age, and how he bantered about it, smirkingly offering to let Isabela run her hands through his chest hair.

And he had a large forehead, which in character design often indicates intelligence.  Shortening the distance between eyebrow and hairline is one of the ways you make a character look brutish.  It's not a lot, but it was noticeable to me, and also his hairline looked like he had a set of giant hair plugs.  I'm sure he'll get some more polish in the meantime, though.

His nose is perfect and the textures are gorgeous.  His ears look a bit bigger, too.  Anyway, small stuff, but when you spend a lot of time looking at character art and fanart, you start to notice when a character looks like "themselves" and when they're off just enough that they look like their stunt double from Spaceballs.

I think Varric looks more like his concept art and more like how he was drawn in the comic- maybe these changes are intentional.  Some folks love the changes, I'm sure.  I feel like he looks less distinctive, but YMMV.

I really like what we saw in the teaser. The character models suggest BioWare is moving away from the overly stylised art direction we saw in DA2, and back toward a realist art style like we've seen in other games.

Comparing the face textures on Cassandra between this teaser and her appearance in DA2 shows a world of difference, and I think it's a good difference. I never liked the smooth, artificial skin textures in DA2, and I'm very happy to see them go away.

Does anyone else look at this Morrigan and think she's the spitting image of Lulu from FFX?

I think the three of them look AMAZING. Still...I much prefer Morrigan in the Sacred Ashes trailer: she's not as "pretty". It suited her more, her face was more...unique and interesting.

Seconded.  The skin and hair in DA2 always bugged me; modding makes it a little better, but not by a lot.

I think Cassandra looks more like this version of herself which I love. She was beautiful in DA2 but this picture makes her look darker, with more of a dangerous edge. =]

To be honest, I liked Cassandra more with silver hair, which she had when DA2 teasers first appeared, but her hair was changed and made darker.

I like them all a lot, but it seems to me like Varric looks younger for some reason. I also love that Morrigan looks a bit like Flemeth now as she got older :3
