I understand that he's trying to be agressive and trying to pressure the Council into helping us out, but I really think he's just alienating them.
Anybody disagree?

Nah man, he proved he was willing to do whatever was necessary to get himself ahead. Anderson on the other hand was a) the only one who didn't stick his head in the sand andDeathCultArm wrote...

He, therefore, is the only reason we won.
Exactly. Tho' I do have a super renegade shep play thru where I let the council die & Elected Emperor Udina just to see how that will play out thru the trilogy. I remember my 1st play thru I saved the council & Elected anderson I got 12 play thru's & only elected That schmuck once.

Churchill was a soldier before a poliitcian! And he was the best prime minister we Brits have ever had.

Soldiers can and do make excellent representatives and civil servants. It should also be noted that Anderson was more than a mere soldier and proved a far more capable leader than Udina ever did.

I liked his determination, certainly. He has a drive and passion for human interests that humanity need, but for a ambassador, he does strike me as being.. woefully undiplomatic.
This. His heart's in the right place. I'm honored to serve with such a patriot. But a human ambassador can be much more calm and supremely confident.
Especially an ambassador of the GREAT HUMAN EMPIRE!

A great human Empire does not really have ambassadors. It has Inquisitors.
Let's leave stuff like that to the universe where it belongs, namely, Warhammer 40K. ME2 is not about that.
(That said, I wouldn't mind a complete bastard playthrough if they'd offer me to become a Reaper later on, or something like that - you know, in exchange for all the sentient races in the galaxy. That would be a Crowning Moment of Awesome)
