Another Robb, but don't insult Eddard.

Are you people blind?  It's not a dead anybody!  It's obviously a sack of potatoes that just happened to fall in the mud in the shape of a body.

Varric wasn't mourning anyone.  He was just tired.  ;)

rly making hawke less important than he was in da 2 the only way to do that is kill him because he have little influence on that what happened in game.Do i want that my character died hell no even morons like cullen managed to survive so hawke and warden not?

What about that figure in the sands at the end of the trailer? Could that be Hawke returning or lost during the Exalted March? If Hawke is truly as important as Bioware intended, perhaps finding him is important to quelling the disasters unfolding across the lands. Or not. I just want to find my Warden's family, and murder knife /all.

Given the relative size of the body to Varric, it either wasn't human or wasn't an adult.

Forgot to quote this in my other post, but yeah I agree. Could be a child, slaughtered in the chaos. Varric is such a softie.

the guy with the potato sack face at the beginning? Please? Then with imports they could actually use your Hawke and show how dead and out of the picture he/she is? I'm not bitter about anything?

Anything's possible at this point.

If Hawke was supposed to be the chosen one (the only one than can stop the world from going to hell) doesn't he has to die to make our protagonist the last "hope"?

I'm just saying it could match the need for a new protagonist.

Same thing about the warden they could kill him and Hawke off to make room for a new hero without having to worry about trying have those three meet.

What? Nonsense. Hawke is the most important person in Thedas, his/her rise to power is legendary. Clearly, s/he is hard working, trying to find a solution to all this conflict.

I think people are making too much of the body. It's probably not anyone we specifically know and was used to show Varric's overall regret over what's happened.

those bodies were everybody youve ever known and love in the DA series, all murdered in one place. including Cullen.

The body looked too small to be an adult human. But if my Hawke dies, I'm gonna be really sad for his Fenris. :(

That would be so traumatic our Inquisitor would probably have nightmares for the rest of the game. ;)

I'm not sure if the body is Hawke or not but personally I don't believe it's a random unknown casualty. I dunno about you but I'd probably not touch the face of the recently dead unless I know them.

Unknown dead bodies are reserved for stick poking.

This was the feeling I had, as well. But I've seen so much speculation about it on the BSN and tumblr, I'm beginning to wonder if I just missed it the first . . . eight times I watched the trailer.

Oh well. I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

I'm being a little over-the-top here, I played DA2 and bought the DLC and have taken some enjoyment from the experience, but in general I felt it was a huge leap in the wrong direction for the series and a real let-down. I really hope DA3 has more of that Origins spirit and I think one great way to do that would be to **** all over Hawke in the game's intro.

Which isn't likely, but wouldn't it be great?

Would certainly not be great, and I have my assurence (one of the few remaining), that Bioware's writers would never stoop to such lows. A story-teller does not **** over his own work just because a whiny, homicadal faction of the fan-base makes such requests.

What if we ask REALLY nicely? And bring drugs and loose women? I believe it's not too late to make this happen.

Starchild is born anew! You can choose red (Templars win), blue (mages win) or green (everyone is conquered and united by Qunari).

Since some of us didn't hate DA2, I really hope it isn't a dead Hawke under the cover.
