Ah, excellent - out next month too! I just managed to convince my friend to get season 1 of the game last week (evidently it was on sale for $5), and he's enjoying it now that he's got it working!

Hehe, he's usually into taking a destructive/anarchic approach in most games, but Clementine managed to transform him into Mr. Nice Guy. I told him she would have that effect! I linked the info for him from this thread, and he was saying that he might pick the DLC up too.

If he resists, then I'll just nag him into getting the new episode (since he likes the game, I don't think I'll have to badger him too much about it ).

I'm a bit worried about Telltale stretching these games into a series. Going with an entirely new cast for a bridging DLC is great. I'll definitely buy it. I just hope this trend continues with season two. I liked The Walking Dead game as a self-contained story. A mishandled direct continuation could retroactively sour it.

Well, followed a "Let's Play" of The Walking Dead and I enjoyed it very much, got the game now from humblebundle...will probably buy the DLC at a later date, too!

I'm certainly exited, my only concern is the 5 characters 5 stories approach. If there's a weak or unappealing character in the mix it might end up a bit hit and miss from episode to episode, that and I wonder if the format will be as emotionally engaging as the organic attachment which was allowed to the develop in Season 1.

Omid and Christa? I don't think so, they're likely being kept for season 2, though a cameo isn't out of the question.
