I hope the tv show ties in with the game in some way. Maybe Clementine can be the only immune person on earth, and the rescue group from 400 days is looking for a potential cure. I know it sounds Last of Us-ish but it would be amazing imo if clem became the savior of the planet.

I believe the TellTale games is supposed to be part of the comic version universe. The TV show also already had it's own tie-in I'm afraid

According to Roosterteeth news, the game picks up months after season one, not years.

I won't be surprised if Clem starts acting like an adult even if she is just a little girl, considering she lost everyone who cared for her and saw more horror and death than any other character.

Props to Telltale they already started kicking ass with The Wolf Among Us. Now we will get 2 great games with awesome story and characters.

I'm scared of this. Look at Carl from The Walking Dead... ugh, I just hate it when kids, or just anyone become pretentious little know-it-alls. I can understand it, I just don't like it.

I'd rather her transform into an 'Ellie.' Ellie is mature, level headed, and most of all: LIKEABLE.

No "stupid adults" line or "why do you treat me like a baby?!" Arguement. Clem needs to retain her charisma as well as mature as a person.

I already think she's mature enough already. Being polite and kind as well as an understanding of personal flaws and mistakes isn't really what I'd call "immature." She might be too good at times (not wanting to steal the food) but hell, that's something she's obviously learnt from her experiences with Lee.

See while Clem did get upset, she did understand why it had to happen and came to accept it, along with wearing the sweater so Clem did learn with her time with Lee that sometimes hard choices need to be made. I dropped Ben and told Clem the truth, I did not lie. The truth sucks but she did understand why I did it so it shows she is a quick learner.

Me too. I knew she could take it.

But just between me and the rest of this thread.

When Clem cried I teared up. I felt like a bag of **** because what I did I knew I'd have done IRL.

I'm pretty similar, actually; I'm rather rigid everywhere else, around
most people anyway, and I think half my secret is I just let myself
loose on these kinds of things. I like feels. Hell, I actually feel good
about becoming a pathetic sniffling mess afterward. Makes me feel like a
human being.

Everyone needs dem feels.

Lee's dream in Season 1 of a zombie Clem is confirmed foreshadowing of Season 2's ending.

Call me crazy, but I don't really like the idea of Clementine as a protagonist. I can't really see her being able to make the sort of harsh choices that I did as Lee (like dropping Ben or taking the food), meaning that there either won't be the same kind of tough moral decisions or I'll be forced to make Clem go OOC, neither of which are good.

I would have rather Season 2 focused on a whole new group of survivors, honestly.

I'm also not too crazy about the Clementine announcement. Besides not being able to make some of same sorts of adult decisions as Lee (without going way OOC), she also just a little kid. Unless she spends the entire game alone, how do you keep things interesting when Clem will surely need to rely on other characters for guidance and/or protection? There are many things a 9 year old girl would not be able to do on her own, no matter how well Lee might have prepared her for life in the zombie apocalypse.

How do you create an interesting protagonist who should probably running be from trouble 99% of the time instead of fighting against it?

Foshizzlin wrote...

Clementine being the main protagonist is interesting, but now I'm wondering what happened to Christa, Omid, and the 400 Days gang.

I think the 400 Days gang are going to be people Clem runs across at some point. They'll all likely be supporting characters.

On that note, Clem will be meeting Nate. Lets hope he isn't the first person she meets while wandering alone!

I had Lee save him.

He was a bit of a f--k up but at the end of the day he was also just a kid. I also had Lee tell Lily to shut her trap when she was looking to go all Judge Dredd on Ben after fleeing the motel.

That being said...Kenny > Ben.

I think he would have cooled down faster if so much horrible crap wasn't happening to him to elongate his anger. Can't say I blame the dude.

Because of the cool room.

Depends on the decisions you made, I'm sure. How'd you handle the Duck situation at the beginning of the game? How about later on? Did you give Duck food? etc etc

Kenny was my bro. Ben and Lily can get stuffed, though I did drop Ben to his death and left Lily to die on the road along with the memory of Larry getting his head smashed in so in the end, good things did happen to those two punks.

I doubt that very much. In my playthrough despite all the squabbles he and Lee had he still stuck his neck out for him and went with him to save Clementine, because as he said they were like family to him.

I'm guessing you didn't back him at the Dairy?

Lee can back Kenny on every decision or confrontation prior to that, and he'll accuse Lee of never having his back if Lee doesn't want to cave in Larry's mug with a brick.

Kenny is an emotional dude that holds onto grudges they are gold.
