"Whose baby is it?" Couldn't help myself from asking that question.
I've got a feeling Sarah is going to meet a very, very unpleasant end, and it will be witnessed by Carlos.
That suturing scene in the shed. Damn.
I picked Nick over Pete, I just thought it worked better in a narrative sense (the protector dying, the youngster having to stand on his own 2 feet and grow up).

16 months seems like a really long amount for a time jump, at least in the TWD universe where surviving for a year outside of a walled community is a near-Herculean task. I suppose they wanted to make sure the season is set after 400 Days (for whatever yet-to-be-revealed reason), but even so, it seemed like a huge amount of time to just skip over. And I guess we're meant to assume that Christa had a miscarriage or something?
Killed the dog, befriended Sarah, refused the guy water, helped Pete. Surprised I was on the minority for that last one - Pete came off far more likable than Nick did.
Not a fan of most of the new group so far; hopefully they all get some development and fleshing out soon. By the end of Episode 1 Season 1 I felt like I knew the characters a lot better than I know these guys. Oh yeah, and screw Rebecca - not only does she come across as an unlikable b*tch so far, but she also seems to have pulled a Lori and gotten herself knocked up by a man that isn't her husband. I hope she meets a similar end.
Episode overall was pretty good, although I don't think it managed to match the quality of Season 1. I think this season has different writers than the last, which could explain it. The handling of Clementine as protagonist went better than I was afraid it would, though, with me allowing to play a somewhat more hardened Clem without the dialogue for her seeming OOC. I hope future episodes allow development of Clem further along that path.
Next episode preview - "I thought you were dead" - aw yeah, I sense Kenny's imminent return.

Yeah, we've been discussing the possibility of it either being kenny or lilly. I'm leaning towards it being lilly because clementine didn't look happy at the person being alive---since clementine more than likely hates her for killing carley.

Clementine doesn't actually know that Lilly killed Carley, IIRC - Lee tells her Carley was killed by a walker (I wanted the option to tell her the truth, but sadly it wasn't provided).HiddenInWar wrote...

SPOILERS.
Can't say I was surprised by much ...
Christa and Omid , well , just the way Christa was opening the bathroom door...I was like "I can't believe they live in a world full of zombies ..." I mean she was leaning against the door , if something was in there , she would have been eaten.
Then leaving Clem all alone in the bathroom...It couldn't end well.
I was glad seeing Clem a bit more grown up .I guess Christa 's baby died?
I was glad the girl found a dog , I thought it could be useful...guess I was wrong.
When she got bitten , I thought "oh no people are going to believe she's been bitten by a zombie!"
The new group are a bunch of morons , I mean freaking out about a little girl , they could have tie her down for the night , and kill her easily in the morning.Well no...
Anyway , Clem patching herself up was brave but a bit stupid too.
I was happy to be able to go all "Screw you guys!"...The doctor guy was a bit of a psychopath ,with his daughter .But whatever.
The whole group feeling so threaten by a 10 years old was just strange.
I saved the guy with a hat , the young one , the other was bitten...the dude started freaking out about Clem not saving his uncle or something...I was rolling my eyes.
The new group is annoying as hell , I mean the pregnant lady , damn who cares about daddy issue , there's a freaking apocalypse going on.The girl with the glasses seems to be living in outer space , etc...I'm going to ditch them all if possible.

Well played, Clem. Well played.
That all being said I think there is going to more there than just baby daddy issues. I have a hunch that Rebecca is going to turn out to be a slightly more sympathetic character than how she was portrayed in the first episode. Her baby might be the result of rape, which would give the player a hook to 'forgive' Rebecca and have Clem help with the baby. Just my guess with how the devs might go...

You sure about that?
Because I thought Clementine was standing in the RV door, and saw everything. And she asks Lee if Carley would turn into a walker.

Also I totally thought Sam would be Clem's companion for the season. I ought to stop expecting the best in these games. :S
My Clem took an immediate dislike to Carlos and Rebecca the hag. I picked Nick over Pete, only because I thought he was bitten and a goner anyway. Nick better shrug whatever baggage he has off, otherwise he's headed the way of Ben.
How does Pete react if you save him over Nick? (Haven't had time to replay any of it)
I had Vincent show up in the trailer for episode 2.

Alright, just finished the episode (thanks, later, Xbox release date). My thoughts:

Given that they were living in the elements most of that time (we can assume anyway) I'd say it just died as a result of being unable to be taken care of.
Or it was a stillbirth.
Killed the dog, befriended Sarah, refused the guy water, helped Pete. Surprised I was on the minority for that last one - Pete came off far more likable than Nick did.
I'd imagine people would go for Pete more then Nick as well. Not only was he more likable, he was more sensible as well. Nick's a hothead, which is dangerous.
Also, he looks like a white (is he white?) Lee Everett. Sort of.
Not a fan of most of the new group so far; hopefully they all get some development and fleshing out soon. Rebecca's basically the Larry of the group. She thinks she knows what's best for the group and that she knows the newcomer based on some very limited (and biased) information.
I don't like her either, mainly for her continued bitterness. She doesn't even attempt to really be cordial to a child, so I question how good of a parent she'd be in the first place. That she doesn't even really understand the predicament Clementine was in and how she was forced to act says volumes.
I don't hope she dies though, but I'm not a fan of her. Not right now though. Same was true for Larry, but I warmed up to him in the second episode.
Next episode preview - "I thought you were dead" - aw yeah, I sense Kenny's imminent return.
Yup, it's gotta be Kenny. Or as was said, Lilly.
But it's probably Kenny. I imagine if it was Lilly, she wouldn't have gone forward to meet her at all and might've tried to avoid her.

I was both expecting the dog to attack her -- it's starving and animals can be very snappy when their food's taken away, though full on assault isn't a normal thing that happens. It can, but it's not always going to happen IIRC -- and for it to be her buddy.
Kinda wish it was her buddy. Dogs can be useful in a ZA (if trained appropriately). Alas, I killed it so it wouldn't suffer.

Plus, it looked like Pete got bit and was just playing it off like he wasn't.
He did. Previews indicate he's probably gonna amputate if he was sided with.
Sarah's going to die an agonizing death. Unless Kenny and Clem say to Carlos "No dude, she has to grow up. If she doesn't, she'll die." and bring up Duck as an example.
And Clem before she grew up.
I know Clem has the option to say that though, but I mistakenly picked another one and just rolled with it.

Can't be Kenny. Clem never saw him die and I don't think you can tell her.
Well, it's possible the Stranger saw Kenny's sacrifice and bragged about it. His contempt for Kenny was pretty up there.
And Clem was with Christa and Omid, who were witnesses to it in both instances.

Also, does a dog bite really look THAT similar to a human's?
Nope. It's pretty noticeable.

Sooo uhhh.... what kind of doctor is Carlos
exactly? Lock somebody in the shed and see if they get an infection?
Nice plan, genius! As if only a walker bite would get you an infection
and fever...
Yeah that just guaranteed an infection would happen so that he could go "Mmm... yes, we were right to do this."
I don't really trust him. Either he's got a malevolence behind his affable demeanor or he's just an idiot/underground doctor who doesn't know as much as he should.

I had Clem tell Carlos that Sarah has to grow up, and he basically gets super defensive saying that Clem doesn't know how he should raise his daughter, and its best if she stays as far away from her as possible.
Basically, "Don't tell me how to do my job!"

I told Sarah I'd be her friend, and I'm actually gonna try if I can since she did help Clem out. But given how Telltale loves making me feel terrible I'll probably be forced to betray her, she'll go nuts and become the final boss. Or I'll inadvertently get her killed and Clem will start feeling guilty again while Carlos tries to kill her.
