I was pretty sad - I was going to go back to see if I could change things, especially as I knew as soon as Clem was bit people she met would assume the worst, but didn't. I found out it leads down the same path anyway.J4N3_M3 wrote...
I didn't give the guy the water either. He attacked a woman and a girl in the woods, yeah, no. I went with Pete too. I also shared the food with the dog. Killing the dog was even worse than shooting Lee.

yeah, I figured it would turn out either way. you don't compete over food with a dog.

Telltate did good job on the dog honestly, he first looks nice, cool and the fact you can play fetch with him. But when he attacks, you realize that you must not forget that even trained dog is still an animal /beast in the end and you should never let your guard down, especially if it's hungry.

I hate crap like this. I realize yes that was a perfectly realistic reaction. So was the girl shooting Omid like Christia I really don't care.
Also why would I have Clem go back into bite range of that dog? It made its bed it can lie in it.
Honestly if I was in Clem's shoes I'd left the dog there to begin with. Barking loudly, having to share small enough resources dog has a liability all over it.
Honestly failing that QTE and watching it kill Clem made any and all sympathy I had for it evaporate. Screw that dog.

They hate the dog? What for? Jesus christ, I love animals, but I understand that they are animals. Dogs can be your best friends, but even they need to survive. Self preservation is the most basic and primal instinct, even in us. The only difference is that we can overcome it easier than they.

Screw that dog I left that sucker to die. Dude would've torn Clem's throat out if she failed the QTE.

Now that's a bit extreme. I love mah gurl, but I understand the dog's actions. Dogs aren't humans, we can't associate them with us when it comes to making 'moral decisions.'
Even my dog, who was trained very well, would growl at times when I took the moved the food away so the cat could eat next to her.
Like I said, animals can be pure instincts when they need to, unlike the humans in TWD who are using "survival" as a way to be a-holes.
Sure, I would make hard decisions too, but I wouldn't openly attack people for the sake of a candy bar and a pair of goggles.

And yeah that was pure instinct never said it wasn't as for humans um...yeah it kind of is survival for some people to do some screwed up things. Survival is the name of the game. They might feel bad about it but at the end of the day if there's a limited amount of resources they're clearly going to save it for themselves (ala the human group you walk into). Yeah some people are being jerks to be jerks no doubt but that's not the case for all. (Those cannibals in season 1 for example were just...no). Kenny smashing Larry's face in? Understandable.
The dog attacking her over beans was understandable just like Clem leaving it to die is understandable.

Even if you were starving and that person had no intention of sharing and you really needed that stuff? I can't say I wouldn't.

You do realize there are tons of scenes in the first season where Clem can get killed.
A dog riping her appart won't change my view on things, my Clem is following the footsteps of Lee (my Lee killed Duck, kid in the attic, Stranger and etc.. because he didn't to see any more suffering) so if my Clem will see people and that includes dogs suffering, she will kill them and no i didn't give water to that guy, however if there was an option to finish him off, i would glady do it
To tell you the truth i got much more shocked from death scenes in Tomb Raider if you failed QTEs with Lara then i did with death scenes with Clem since they few of the stuff gets covered.

To each their own. My Lee killed the kid too (mostly because that kid could've easily been Clem if he hadn't come along). But my Lee was a bit of a jerk (god I love sassy Clementine. "Who's the daddy? I think you should be nice to me." Trololol.) But otherwise mercy kills were strictly for friends and people he knew. (Let that lady die screaming so he could get more medicine). Well jerk lee did good guy Lee killed her. But even then I figure Clem's been in crapsack world longer than Lee thus would be a lot more colder about things.
Lara's were more gruesome but Clem's makes me feel more like a failure. Lee goes through all of that and she bites it

My Clementine however doesn't have the same courtesy, she didn't know why Lee was doing all these things and when he explained to her that he killed them, he doesn't go into detail and leaves it up to her imagination. Thus, a ****ed up role model skewed her view on life which wasn't helped by the last few months of surviving alone with Christa.
So I'm going with a psychotic Clementine, doubt they'll let me play it as such though.

and the boy in the attic because I felt that letting Kenny do it would make him come to terms with what happened to Duck.
The other character I don't like killing myself is Jolene; it makes it so much satisfying to kill Danny when you get his "you don't have the guts" line.

What would be interesting is that if you left lee to turn, and the group went to savannah, then maybe a few group members would walk right in to the store where he died, and lee bit one of them.
Ehh if that happens then I'll assume that they're scripted to die either way. Like Ben. >.<

Part of that, and maybe why it's easy to feel like a failure is that, yeah, Clem's just a little girl. Physically, emotionally she's still learning, maybe it's just an empathy response on our part. I'm trying to look at it as though I'm not an adult, with adult maturity and responses, I actually think it's quite a challenge to regress yet try and have those adult responses to situations as well.Ryzaki wrote...
Most of those are Lee's failures though so the blame for me mostly went on Lee (and myself).

Yep.
XD I loved that moment.
Though I went with Pete. He was after all one of the few that were nice to her at first. Besides going out to Walkers like that was just...a bad way to go and Nick was fine. He didn't need her help.

The track record of saving bitten people through amputation in TWD universe is far from good, true, but it has successfully been done before.Lord Aesir wrote...
