As for the new group, most of them seem nice enough (particularly Luke and Pete), but Rebecca is a bit of a b*tch. Judging by the episode 3 screen (Clem protecting Rebecca) they are going to make us care more for her though, so we'll see how that goes. Sarah seems a nice enough girl, if a bit odd. I get the feeling I'm going to regret making a promise to her. Carlos is alright, obviously extremely protective of his daughter, he might take a bit of warming up to. I accepted Nick's apology, trying to stay on people's good sides for now. Ended up helping Pete, despite seeing that he was bitten.
Can't wait for ep. 2 to come out, might be a little while though.

It was brilliant, I have no idea why the show even attempted to change it. What was the point of it all if the Guv'ner's arch was barely expanded? They just kept him as a villain for no damn reason. (Though I do prefer the Guv'ner's character in the show. Far more creepy.)
I enjoyed the way he was killed, it was poetic justice if anything. But Lilly, it seems, is going to be an important character in volume 2 if she oh-so-suddenly introduced. Unless Kirkman is like 'nah, I just wanted a random girl called Lilly to kill the guy.'
Oh, and poor Tyreese :-( he was mah ****, my bro, my NFL kick-ass hammer slaying black-thor-like character. Seriously, he was awesome.
I wonder how they caught him though, must have shot his legs. The guy was huge and an ex-NFL player, crap he might have been, I'm sure the dude would've been very hard to catch and pin down.
Oh! Michonne and Andrea being badass as usual. It's funny that the two most hated characters in the show (Lori Andrea) are actually likeable in the comics.

Just re-used assets on the shirt thing, most likely.Cerbrus operative wrote...

The idea of Lee's body being dragged by someone from the jewellery store to the side of a road and then left there strikes me as being fairly ridiculous.
She (and the rest of the Governor's remaining men) are last seen trapped in the prison, out of ammo, with a horde of zombies descending upon them.simfamSP wrote...

They're zombie food, they're not coming back.
Eh, Lori wasn't terrible, but "likable" may be pushing things a bit. I find it hard to get past the "got knocked up by another man" thing - largely why I dislike Rebecca (well, that and her being a huge b**ch towards Clem).simfamSP wrote...

In comparison to her show counterpart, she is *very* likeable xD

Poetic justice, I suppose. But it doesn't really seem fitting that he's killed by an unkown. The show did this part better, I feel.

I felt that Lori wasn't really a well fleshed out character in the comic books either. All she did was be pregnant, have the kid, and be mad at Rick all the time. They did the same with Maggie later on. she is so badass in the show but in the comic books she's quite weird. I like Andrea a lot in the comic books. She doesn't take sh!t from anyone and can look out for herself. I think the worst character in the comic books where I was realy glad when she finally died was Carol. I wanted to slap her almost all the time. Such a dependent person. The whole thing with her proposing to Lori and Rick was so effed up.

A dog, when pressured, are instinctful,
Some people would say humans are just the same. It's an actual belief some people adhere to, historically.
Shooting it could draw walker attention (then again so can it's continued whimpering though one could argue that at least could draw the walkers towards it and away from Clem)
Clem doesn't have a gun at that point, so shooting's moot anyway. The only weapon she has is the knife, and short of picking up the tree limb and bashing the dog's head in (which I don't even think there's a guarantee it'd work the first time. Clem's had bad luck bashing peoples' brains in on the first try).
So I can agree that Clem is not obligated to put the dog out of its misery. At the same time however, I also DISagree with it. Although it's not human (ignoring my personal beliefs on animal intellect) she is obligated to kill it in one sense to adhere to a mentality that although the world is cruel, letting it change you into a cruel person is not the way to go.
Particularly if Lee has done the same thing (St. John brothers).

Well I saved Doug because I (foolishly) thought that I could save both. Since Doug seemed to be in the most trouble I saved him first.
I saved Carley, but I had to wonder why she didn't use her heel as an improv weapon and stab the walker grabbing her in the eye. Might've gone deep enough.
Or not. Then again, it'd be a gamble just getting to the eye without meeting the teeth. Still, she could've beaten the thing's head with something. Like the gun!
Or Clementine could've given her more bullets just as she gave Lee a hammer. And when all you have is a hammer.
Sounds about right.
But Doug can be pretty useful; he does set up a working alarm system on the motel.
I found that problematic though. While nifty, it's going to alert any nearby walkers to it anyway and seems sort of self-defeating, particularly if a horde is moving through. Walkers act in a herd mentality. If one goes off in the distance, another will assume it senses something and follow suit. And so on and so forth (Kirkman confirmed this in an interview, I believe).
Really, it seems more geared to just warning people of their impending deaths, as opposed to impending danger. Unless you have say... a tank nearby. Or anything else that can sufficiently mow down Walkers (like in the third Resident Evil movie).
Not to mention that if the group is alerted and uses guns, that just alerts MORE walkers.
It's really only useful for the living, I think. Having a sharpshooter keep a look-out is better.

How do you know that water is safe to drink? In the middle of a zombie apocalypse anything could be in that water.
Though time consuming, boiling it would work wouldn't it?

Could be something seen if Lee was left as a Walker. Although he was handcuffed to the radiator, given time struggles might cause him to have lost his other hand. It is cutting through the flesh after all, and his is getting rather doughy the longer he's there.
More then likely though it's just a reuse of assets, as was previously suggested.
(Lee lives in my personal headcanon, and his story continues past there though)

Clem saved the guy who wasn't bit for obvious reasons, gave the dying man water, tried to feed the dog, and tried to save Christa
I think that Lilly is the one who Clem "thought was dead." Sure it could be Kenny, but... it would've have to been a miracle and a half for him to survive.

I suppose the situation was far too chaotic. You don't tend to think of these things when under pressure, unless you have military training.

What really pissed me off in the show was the massive changes to how Hershel dies(his death in the comic was much better because of his final words and what leads up to it), Tyreese and the Governors death(then again they changed way to much of him even his race in the TV show). Typical HBO changing stuff for teh drama!simfamSP wrote...

Kenny's mustache shields him from all injuries. That is why Katjaa and Duck died. They had no mustache of their own to save them.
