I don't even know how to phrase things but this is probably the first time that i've ever been a bit scared of myself and what i can do.. but it had to done.

Same second Carver slapped Clem his life was more than forfeit but when it was time i had to spare Clem seeing it. I wanted to see him die but nah, you're not him Clem.. and you will bloody never be!
So many amazing moments in this episode and i have an awful time saying which would be my favorite but it would be lying so bad if i said that i didn't enjoy what happened at the end with Troy. Bastard got what was coming and i'm sitting here with the most sinister smirk i can

Troy is creepy from the start, and he smacked Clem around. I'm glad he got what was coming to him.

 

I'm kind of pissed that I misread Tavia so badly in 400 days. She's clearly manipulated a lot of people into joining the community with her friendly act. I hope she doesn't make it out but if she does Clem's gonna put her in the ground like everyone else who messes with her.

 

I had Clem be nice to Bonnie for the most part, trying to play her for sympathy, but maybe she wasn't so into the whole situation given how she reacts when Clem tells her about Reggie and then helping at the end. She's stupid, but not necessarily evil.

 

Poor Reggie, guy couldn't catch a break. Well, I suppose the ground broke his fall... I know, I'm evil. Still, I liked him.

 

Really liking Jane. I'm just hoping she's trustworthy, because she could be the sort to abandon the group at the worst possible moment, not sure. Also, at first I thought she was voiced by Courtney Taylor (Jack's VA), but it was someone else. Loved the way she handled Troy though, very smooth.

 

Damn it Wyatt, you've become the establishment, man. That's not cool, dude. But I hope he got out alive. Saw Becca and her sister in there at the beginning though, talking about Clem. Watch yourself Becca, Clem will cut you.

 

Luke gets caught. Damn it, how is Clementine the only competent person around? Apart from Kenny at least.

 

Alvin goes out letting Clem get away, I'm cool with that. I don't think he'd of been able to get away in his state anyway. Loved the bit about the tiniest gun in the world.

 

Clem dropped on Carver like a ninja. Axe kick to the back of the head.

 

I liked how even lying there with bullets in both knees Carver is still spouting off about sheep and who's tough and what-not.

 

Kenny: "It's gonna get messy."

Clem: "I know." *cold as ice stare*

 

Sarah's run off, Carlos got shot in the neck, and Clem hacked Sarita's arm off. Next episode is gonna be brutal. Especially since it seems like Rebecca will be giving birth at the worst time.

Still had Clementine watch it. I know I may be quite alone on that, but Kenny keeps that attitude up, I can't say I'd regret overly much if he'd wind up dead soon.

 

Found the ineptitude of the rest of Carver's crew when it comes to guarding their "labourers" slightly ludicrous too. I mean, they've made it for over a year up until that point, so c'mon...

400 Days existed only to introduce Bonnie, the rest of the cast were good-for-nothing cameos that might as well have been nameless grunts. I feel like I've wasted my time with 400 days and that's not something you necessarily want people to feel.

 

The plague of season 2 always having every single character being one-note continues, we've yet to get any real character development and it almost seems like we're getting to the point that people are being flanderized because they have no idea how to add any real depth. Rebecca is the only new person that doesn't fit into some niche. How can I feel bad for Sarita when she's just Kenny's girlfriend? Alvin could've been salvaged but he died in EP2 so I didn't see how they handled the whole "he's a murderer" thing.

 

Carver being nothing but an "evil" antagonist was soul-crushingly disappointing, the build-up of EP2 left with the hope that perhaps the cabin group wasn't as ideal as we wanted them to be and that we've got conflicting loyalties everywhere. Unfortunately, the cabin group is the go-to group and nobody has anything to say about what they've done beforehand.

Sarah is just annoying. I sincerely hope she doesn't get much more screen time, I've done everything against her and they still try to rub me in as her friend.

Which boils down to another one of my problems with Season 2, your choices matter less than they did in Season 1. While the story marches onto one path, you had very different means of the story being told throughout the first season. Was Kenny your friend? Was he your enemy? Did he respect you? Did Lily respect you? Did people see you as a nice guy or an *******?

In S2, I've been mean to everyone at every possible moment. Nothing changes. I've pissed off the group, I've told Rebecca to screw off multiple times and she still acts like I care about her because the writers overwhelmingly assume everyone plays the nice girl. I've intimidated and threatened Sarah, I've left her to her own devices and got her yelled at and constantly placed all the blame on her. Everyone still calls me her friend and she still likes me when the next scene comes along because they don't want to write the alternative.

 

We've got two episodes left to get proper closure, we have no idea what we're doing aside from following the cabin group which we may or may not like and there hasn't been much character development in the first three episodes. Season 2 is just disappointing me all around.

On another note, [Kenny]I'm getting really tired of this cliffhanger ending bullshit.[/Kenny]

 

For the positives:

As much as I'd like to say that I don't care much for Kenny, that fact is a lie. Whatever my problems with season 2, Kenny seems to be written in the very same style he was in the original season and because of this, I've still got some connection with him and I'm playing Clementine as very attached to Kenny, seeing him as her only friend out of the entire group (though she did want to abandon him when we had to leave the camp).

 

The beating scene was fantastic, I ran towards Kenny as quickly as possible and the follow-up with the crowbar was one of the best scenes for playing Clementine as emotionally damaged and borderline psychopathic. Everyone in the group protested my staying but defending my right to stay and watch, claiming I know it'll be messy, etc. Best scene from the episode, hands down.

 

That and the scene which Carver praises you if you intimidate him were great.

By and large agreed. If this episode was supposed to be the outlet for most everyone of the 400-Days group, then 'twas shallow indeed.

 

As for Ken, I am curious whether his shakey state of mind will be explored some more. Episode 2 did show some of that, after all, and now after what went down in episode 3...

Seeing how they got more than just the lumbering herd to worry about, staying at that place longer than necessary - and what Ken does isn't exactly that - simply is just that, stupid.

I expected Carver to survive this episode and be killed later, but I was wrong. Don't mind though.

 

Sarah is a cute version of Ben. First and foremost, utterly useless and burdensome. Maybe that might change in the next episode, but that is doubtful tbh. 

 

The implementation of the 400 Days crew was absolutely needless. After all those character intros, they were reduced to stormtroopers. That is, unless they survive the attack, which seems unlikely. I couldn't get over how they all seemed to do absolutely no work (spare Bonnie) other than guard duty. 

 

And now the new main antagonist will no longer be Carver but that new whackjob girl trying to convince Clementine to abandon the group... seems promising. 

 

Overall satisfied with the episode.

Ok, there was a lot going on in this episode, no doubt. I'll go ahead and give my thoughts.

First, I'm also really angry at how Tavia and the 400 Days crew ended up in Carver's camp. I kept thinking that by having them go to the community, they would assist Clem and her group later in the story. Only Bonnie joins at the end, and the rest are still at the camp by the time the walkers invade. I thought there would be more of a connection between 400 Days and Season Two, but so far, I'm not seeing it.

It did start to feel contrived how the tasks mostly, if not all, rely on Clementine, but she is the protagonist, so it's not bothering me too much.

For those who see Sarah as a female Ben, at least she didn't make Ben's mistake of trying to barter with the antagonists and then having it backfire. I know she can be offsetting to some, but I don't hate her, though more contribution to the group always helps.

I actually thought Jane was Molly for a second, but then I realized it wasn't her.

Luke should have used the Force. It would have been a thousand times more badass.

(In Dave Seville's Voice) AAAAAALLLLLLVVVVVVIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!! Telltale should have it so that he has two brothers named Simon and Theodore.

I thought there would be more regarding Carver. Ah, well. Kenny's smackdown on him more than makes up for it. Kenny with crow bar = Half-Life 3 confirmed! Lol.

I'm still interested in the characters for the most part, and it looks like the Walker encounters will increase now that they're on the run again.

I was pleased with the episode overall, but I am a little cautious on the writing and story for the rest of the episodes.
