I wish they hadn't made Bill/Carver a chaotic evil nutjob by having him throw Reggie off the roof. Given the post-apocalyptic environment they all find themselves in, he did make some sense. Getting some further input into just what went sour between him and the cabin-crew beyond the question of paternity would have been worthwhile, too.

Yeah I agree that trying to re-build society is probably the right call, but Carver's situation is pretty typical of someone with too much power over others. We saw the exact same thing happen in Crawford, it was safe and secure, but the pressure of leadership seemed to have gone to peoples heads to the point of them becoming very oppressive much to their own eventual detriment . Few dictators ever start out as such they always have noble goals in the beginning before something goes wrong and they start lashing out at people and blaming everything that goes wrong on the weakness of others or their inability to fend for themselves. If the dialogue of the various guards is to be taken seriously I'm inclined to think that it's very likely that what drove Carver over the edge was his inability to deal with a previous zombie horde in some manner, (they mention things not going as planned and having learned for that), Luke's also been said to have had disagreements with Carver's leadership so I'm guessing it started after that and just progressively got worse similarly to how Lily started falling apart in Season 1.

I guess I'm in the minority for actually not liking Kenny all that much? It seems like his hot-headedness causes a lot of unnecessary trouble, and usually because he jumps to a more violent approach.

Just to name a few examples:

Maybe Lilly's dad would have eventually turned before he could be revived, but it was unclear whether he was dead when Kenny put the axe through his head, and this led to Lilly losing it and in turn to the death of Carley/Doug and the theft of the RV.

His "let's attack them when they open the door" plan when they were in the back of the truck at the start of this episode was idiotic, and I used every possible dialogue choice to try to convince him to calm down, and yet it appeared he still would have attempted it if he hadn't hit his head on the door.

I forget exactly what the context was, but he seemed to be getting into another relatively unnecessary spat with Mike at one point in this episode as well.

I don't think drawing the walkers to the compound as a way to escape is justifiable, for reasons I mentioned in an earlier post, and while the game railroads everybody into going along with it, I think it was Kenny who suggested it first.

Even *if* you think Carver deserved to die (which I don't - depose him and imprison him, sure, but don't kill him), it wasn't necessary given that he'd been shot twice and it's sure to divide the group, not to mention that THERE ARE ZOMBIES COMING and it might be best to get moving.

If it was not for Kenny Clem would have gotten a brutal beatdown that would have probably killed her. You can hate Kenny all you want or say he screws everything but the fact is he saved Clem from possible death right there and put his own life on the line, that right there just adds more to my love for the character. Let's also not forget Clem and Kenny got in that mess because of Luke, not Kenny. Hell Kenny and Clem are only with Carver because of the stupid group to begin with and their idiotic mistakes.

I'm not saying Kenny has never done anything good or worthwhile, just that he has flown off the handle and caused unnecessary problems more than once now, and as a player I find it a little frustrating to be asked for my opinion each time and have him just go off and do whatever knee-jerk excessive thing he was planning to do anyway.

I know, this is The Walking Dead and not Mass Effect, and the characters aren't always going to listen to me. But the dynamic should still change over time. This episode felt like it had several different iterations of --

Kenny: I think we should [insert rash, violent overreaction here]
Clementine: That's not a good idea.
Kenny: [Does rash, violent overreaction anyway]

At some point, Clementine's dialogue choices should include something like, "Why ask me? You won't listen anyway." Or she should be able to talk to him privately instead of just reacting in the moment.

(Or maybe Telltale shouldn't have had us playing an 11-year-old girl with an oddly crucial leadership role in a group of adults in the first place.)

Not everyone listens to someones opinions even after a long time, I'm happy he does not. It adds to his flawed character and makes him feel more human then any of the other characters. If Kenny ever obeys me I will be pissed, because that's not the Kenny I know and love.

Perhaps it was a heat of the moment thing. Like how the second I chopped Sarita's arm off I immediately regretted it.
