My Clem is turning cold and after all the **** she went through, she had no issues staying to watch him get what he deserved, though him saying he respected her did send a chill down my spine since my Clem never took any crap from him at all.

That's certainly understandable. My Clem is getting more pessimistic but hasn't reached that stage yet.

It was more evenly divided as of around 10 p.m. last night, I think.

I initially stayed because I thought that meant I could try to talk Kenny out of it, then it became clear that I was just going to watch him die and that Clem's dialogue would end up validating Carver's point of view. So I reloaded and left. Not sure how that gets counted in the overall statistics.

I had Clementine watch since I wanted her to commit to memory just what Ken is capable of.

Yeah I agree that trying to re-build society is probably the right call, but Carver's situation is pretty typical of someone with too much power over others. We saw the exact same thing happen in Crawford, it was safe and secure, but the pressure of leadership seemed to have gone to peoples heads to the point of them becoming very oppressive much to their own eventual detriment . Few dictators ever start out as such they always have noble goals in the beginning before something goes wrong and they start lashing out at people and blaming everything that goes wrong on the weakness of others or their inability to fend for themselves. If the dialogue of the various guards is to be taken seriously I'm inclined to think that it's very likely that what drove Carver over the edge was his inability to deal with a previous zombie horde in some manner, (they mention things not going as planned and having learned for that), Luke's also been said to have had disagreements with Carver's leadership so I'm guessing it started after that and just progressively got worse similarly to how Lily started falling apart in Season 1.

Thing is, Crawford had an extreme focus on optimal "short-term" survival as their focus, throwing out young, old and incapacitated. A policy that wouldn't have any future whatsoever, even had they continued. Bill, on the other hand, does have longer term survival in mind, what with his emphasis on bringing up a "harder, new generation" with the yet unborn child he adopts for himself, and he does tolerate handicapped people - although he doesn't tolerate what he perceives as weakness of character or plain incompetence. The way Telltale chose to portrait that beyond him being all in favour of beating minors to put them in their place - I doubt he'd have gone all-out on Clementine the same exact way as he did with Ken had Ken not stepped in as was posited before; he does not do anything drastic to Sarah after the greenhouse, after all, from what we can tell - and having him kill off Reggie the way he did merely achieves painting him as a reckless lunatic, as I said.

 

Up until that point, I wouldn't have found it unthinkable to in fact have a choice of staying rather than push for an escape, despite the quasi-prisoner status of the cabin-group. Things could still have been funneled into the herd overwhelming the place even then. With Bill randomly murdering Reggie the way he did, that's entirely thrown by the way-side, of course. Which comes back to what was already pointed out: there isn't awfully much in the way of diverse outcomes of choices, as it were, all narrowed down to one set of events as they are.

I don't either. I played a relatively good Lee in most situations and I play Clem as if she were following his example, doing what he taught her to do. That said, this group isn't the most likable bunch so Clem just gets annoyed sometimes.

I just think that Clem was always a remarkably strong-willed girl. She has to be, with all the shit she's seen without breaking. So I like it more for the story to have a Clementine who hangs onto the hope and sense of morality Lee instilled in her. For me she still cares about people and puts her friends before herself - she isn't about to let the world change her for the worse. Toughen her? Yes. She still stands her ground and doesn't take shit from people giving her trouble. But she ain't breaking on my watch. 

 

Hoping to prove Carver wrong. You can get by in this world without being like him.

I guess it mostly just depends on your Lee really. My Lee was a nice guy, but very cynical and was willing to do anything to protect Clem and Kenny. She learned alot from him and thus from all the **** she has seen she is just getting harden. In fact the scene at the end of ep3 was perfect for my Clem, I love where she is going.

I agree with this, but I wonder if the game is simply going to railroad us down a different path now. They already sort of did by making us go along with

In my run through 400 Days, everyone left with Tavia, which means that even characters like Russell or Shel (who can be played as relatively nice people) may die as a result of what Clementine's new group just did. I hope that isn't what's going on and the walkers were lured under the assumption that they would provide a distraction but can't actually breach the compound. It's hard to tell, though, given that the game doesn't address this question directly.

It's a dog eats dog world. Kenny and Clem should not have even been there in the first place, blame the idiot cabin survivors for putting them in a bind. I really hope TellTale just says screw it and allows us to shoot or at least punch Luke.
