I was thinking a lot about how episode 4 ended and wanted to hear what other people were thinking

i was reminded of the sarita choice at the end of episode 3. I cut off her hand and she was eaten alive. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time but I realized I distracted (understatement) her and caused her to freak out. Now with Rebecca we are in a standoff and the choice is either to have clementine or Kenny shoot Rebecca. I'm worried that choosing to have Kenny do the killing means his gun isn't on the other guy anymore and he would be an easy target when all hell breaks loose, opposed to clementine shooting Rebecca where only Luke appears distracted, but that happens no matter what, so I had my clementine take the shot. On the flip side maybe shooting without warning the group is the worse option because now everyone is distracted, since clearly my gut didn't exactly make the best choice with sarita I could be doing it again.

I'm curious about what other people chose and why, and how they think that choice will impact, if at all, the next episode

It may not even matter. It could be that Clem's the only one left regardless, barring the baby.

I reacted purely on instinct there and pulled the trigger as soon as it was possible only to realise half a second later what I'm actually doing and what kind of situation that I'm in. It was not one of my most brilliant ideas but I'm quite interested in seeing just what might change compared to if you don't shot. Acting first and think later has so far not screwed me over completely, I hope the luck still hasn't run dry

I sooo wanted Kenny to survive for my canon ending, but he descended into madness. What Jane did with the baby also pissed me off but in the end i rather go with someone who hasn't completely lost his mind.

After watching a stream, i didnt realize it would boil down to kenny v jane. Of course I'll pick kenny, what jane did was unbelievable.

That...was probably the best episode of the entire season. God fecking damn. Longest one, too. It seems like Telltale listened to all the complaints season 2 was getting, and this episode had A LOT of time strictly for character development. If only the entire season was like that rather than getting rushed by, and it could have rivaled season 1.

 

Good stuff all the same.

Tried to save Luke, despite my grievances with the guy. Wasn't expecting him to go so soon.

 

So they actually did the Lee flashback. Feels.

 

I'm not entirely sure how that confrontation with Mike could have gone down. I didn't blame him for wanting to go, but I wish he would have at least offered for me to come first. Him and Bonnie. In the end, I got shot. Damnit Arvo.

 

It was perhaps the most emotionally stressful point of the entire series, but in the end, I shot Kenny. I...goddamn.

 

I decided to forgive Jane in the end, which was probably the most minority choice I've ever done. I think she cares about Clem. Liar or not. I guess we'll see in season 3.

 

And, to all y'all naysayers...

Oh dear, oh dear me.. Didn't really know what I expected going into this episode but I sure got one episode that i'm going to be thinking of for a very, very long time. So much stuff happened in this episode that it's not really possible to summarize it all but i'm perfectly alright where my Clementine am at the moment and she's one incredibly amazing character. Goodness she's been through a lot! Especially in this episode alone. First almost drowning when I against my own mind tried to save Luke and then the whole freezing that happens after that little swim sure did her no good. To top that off Arvo, who I've protected this entire episode end up shooting Clem! He's lucky because while i totally get what he and.. Mike and Bonnie tried to do I'm very doubtful that i'll ever want to see them again. That entire section really is crazy and changed the entire playing field completely. The little scene with Lee was just so perfect and it did pull at the heart for a bit to be Clem and hear that reassuring voice tell that things would be okey, that things would get better. I needed that after all that went down.

 

I really did try to not get attatched to the baby and i think i did an alright job at it. I care about it more than I ever planned to do and I sure will put in the best effort possible to keep it alive for as long as possible. AJ deserves a shot at life even in that screwed up world and he does like Clem so.. maybe it will work but I'm not going to hope. Hope has forsaken these lands..

Ended up in minority in all choices but one which i'm really going to take a look at again after more stats have been sampled but curious about how everyone else ended.

 

So Clementine at the end of this season as company have AJ and Jane. Yes, I did shot Kenny and that's something that i've been preparing to do ever since much earlier in the season. I adore you Kenny but you were a ticking time bomb and I'm not willing to risk you going off at the worst time possible. I just feel that Clementine got a better shot at surviving with Jane than Kenny. She can teach Clementine so many things and while i don't expect her to stick around forever I'm betting that until that happens that Clementine got a stronger chance at life than before. Just didn't feel that Kenny provided that and todays episode did very little to change my mind about that. He will be very missed however but at least he got Katja and Duck now. R.I.P buddy!

Welp what a great ride and I'm very pleased with my ending, though first time a episode has made me hate three characters(Mike, Bonnie and Jane)
