I've tried uploading both dazip and zip versions of my file with both Firefox and Internet Explorer.  When I use the simple uploader I get redirected back to my profile page before the upload is complete and when I use the flash uploader it says "Upload Complete" but then I get an error that says "Invalid User Session".  I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.  I believe the last time I uploaded a file I was still using Vista.

Okay, so it seems I'm exceeding the file size limit by about 70 MB. I misread the . as a , in the limitation. Is there any category where I can upload this file or do I have to move the mod off site? Thanks.

What size is your file, and what is the file limit? I use DA Nexus, although it has some server issues (timeouts), I find it to be more user-friendly, easier to search than the social site, and it accepts my b2b upload of 22mb.

Edit: woah, wait, 70mb over... is that a typo? My project files are only ~6.2mb, with several dialogue files, two supplemental soundbanks and the associated face fx.

No, not a typo. It's 163 MB and it only has what is necessary in it as far as I can tell. It has 5 modified dialogue files, 4 recompiled fsbs and all the fxe files that go along with it plus a couple of scripts. I've noticed that there aren't any files on this site that even come close to the size of this file, even stand alone mods, but I assumed it had to do with the massive sizes of the dialogue files. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm currently trying to get the files up on Dragon Age Nexus but so far it's not working out. When I tried downloading and installing the file I uploaded it was completely broken. Still working on it.

Is is possible the original .fsb files are also in the folder you're zipping? For example, if you've done supplemental .fsb and .fev files for Alistair's dialogue, you only need alistair_main.fev and yourmod_alistair.fsb.

ETA: my mod has 9 modified .dlg files, a couple scripts and a fadeout .cut, with two supplemental .fsb and associated .fev files, 66 .fxe/.fxm files - it comes in about 6.2kb zipped for both dazip and manual versions.

I found out about how it is possible to make supplemental .fsbs when I was already halfway through the project and decided to keep doing what I was already doing, which was recompiling the entire .fsbs.

Ah, well, it's fairly easy to do a supplemental .fsb; regenerating the VO doesn't require re-exporting the dialogue, so you could probably reduce your mod size by a good 120mb if you set up the supplemental .fsbs.

*Sigh* And I thought I was done... :P

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into it.

Just wondering, before I redo everything... There are up to 70 new lines of owner dialogue in each conversation. Is this definitely the best way to go about it with so much added?

Assuming the .fev compiles correctly, you're talking about reducing the file size of each .fsb included in your mod from ~30mb to ~500kb... to me, it's worth it for reducing strain on file transfer servers, and allowing for faster download speeds for the end-user. You could back up the current .fev, try it with one of the .dlgs and see if it works; it's only about a 5 minute process, and simple enough to revert back to the non-split version if it gives you trouble. :)

Okay, thanks again. I'll give it a shot.
