Yeah I don't really believe that. Even if a lot of people don't like XV there's still KH3 at a minimum.
The rising costs associated with developing for such mega-platforms seems to be at it's breaking point though... but that affects all games on consoles though generally.

Yea there was a line in an article about FFXV either saving or ending console gaming in Japan, I thought it was a pretty haughty overstatement considering NIS has been putting out much better JRPGs for a while now.

Looking gorgeous, though the video quality is terrible.
Music is Yoko Shimomura as f*ck in that tech demo. Makes sense since she was confirmed to be composing for the game years ago.

I'm looking forward to XV. I hope there are more female characters though then just the two mentioned and that they're given a lot of time in the story.
It looks superb and the music is astonishing.

About console gaming, though, from what I understand it really HAS fallen off in Japan, pretty severely, with mobile and handheld taking over. That's why SE is making so many mobile games.

Jump Festa time so new trailer, and then there was a stream. Only up on Nico Nico though, so we'll have to wait until it gets to Youtube.
So, the demo is limited to pre-order copies of Type-0 HD. Which is stupid, but whatever. And it doesn't come out immediately with the game. But since it's so limited, they're considering releasing the game's tech demo for people to play around with, next year around Christmas. Not set in stone.
That female character in the trailer, the mechanic--that's Cid. Cidney, that is. There are huge summons in the game--that thing at the end was a summon called Titan. It's been rumored that the car can turn into a Magitek Armor, though I have no idea if that's true or not.
The demo will have dual audio (Eng+Japanese, Bioware's filter is too touchy), and they're trying to do it for the full game.
Oh, and from what I've gleaned, the game is looking like a 2016 release at earliest, though unsure when during that year.

It's not synced at all.
The Japanese version is out there somewhere, I haven't seen it yet but I bet it's synced.
So the sync is a non-issue. What do you guys think of the voices? I think Prompto (from the TGS trailer) sounds really, really good actually, Ignis sounds a little awkward, Gladio sounds okay, and Noct sounds...unsure about Noct. I think it will be good, because it's a lot deeper than I expected, but I'll need more exposure.

Sounds fine to me. Except whoever has the fake british accent. That's even worse than Lara Croft from Tomb raider reboot.
