The child would be 8 in Inquisition.

I doubt Bioware is going to have us play as an 8-year old mass murderer.

The OGB is male and not everyone did it, so I highly doubt it'd be the PC.

No, don't pull that garbage. I'm calling it now and telling you the kid grows at a normal rate.

well it is the only way the warden is alive so I guess that would mean that if the warden showed up the baby might as well

The Warden is alive if Alistair or Loghain killed the Archdemon, as well...

Alistair is king that is canon according to Bioware

The Old God Baby won't appear until the end of the game, when he shows up to present your ending choices to you.

The novels and comics are extensions of one of Gaider's playthroughs. It's established that the outcomes in those are no more canon than anything else.

Not everyone did it. Some people didn't do it themselves or get Alistair to do it.

I said not everyone did it, not that not everyone can do it...

Pretty sure the OGB only has the soul of an old god in a human body, which would likely mean that he develops like a normal human.

Not so.  The warden could have fed Alistair/Loghain to the Archdemon and still have survived the blight.

Also as others have mentioned, the OGB would be ten years old, absolute tops at this point. I don't see him being a viable PC for that reasons alone.

I heard somewhere that varric's interrogation is in 9:42. that would make ogb 12.

Yeah no, most of my Wardens would rather die (and did) than give that meddling witch an Old God to control.

It was announced that in DAI the players will have to choose a background (a non-played origin) for his character. What about the possibilities that the OGB is one of the backgrounds available? It could be one of the best solutions to satisfy both the player that want the OGB to be important and the players that refused the ritual and so don’t want the OGB to even exist (in which case they would simply have to not choose this background).

About the age of the OGB it could either be explained by the fact that the OGB grows faster than human and/or by the fact that the time passes faster in the realm beyond the Fade that Morrigan accessed through the Eluvian.

Naturally it is just speculation but to my point of view it would be an “easy” solution to satisfy the OGB lover without spending too many resources on something that many players won’t see.

The OGB could not exist, in fact in one of my games Morrigan had a child but not an OGB (refuse dark Ritual, romanced)

Actually, even thought it does exist in two of my main world states (different reasons, same reasult) there are a lot of people who choose not to have it, and the devs said they will respect this choice. After saying that forcing this character on us would be rude.

Higly unlikely, if they ever planed to make it playable they wouldn't have fixed it as male.

In DAO all the Origins have race and class restriction so it shouldn’t be such a problem to have gender restriction for one of the backgrounds in DAI.

For such a snowflakey background - No way.
