I too support the mage. BUT, seriously, they do need to show us more good mages, unlike in DA 2. How the heck can I convince the world that Mages are not evil if almost every single mages I encountered in DA 2 are either possessed, or crazy. Even my mage companions, one is blood mage almost release a demon to this world out of stupidity, and the other went all Taliban and blew up the damn Chantry full of people? As much as I want to put on good words for mages, they didn't make it easy. It's like asking people to support a group of crazy terrorists. At least show us the good, suffered mages so that people can sympathize, understand, and support them for Maker's sake.
I swear, if Dragon Age Inquisition doesn't show any nice mages I can sympathise with, I'll support the templars.
Just one nice mage.
Well there is Bethany.
Is Bethany in Inquisition? If so that would be nice.

Whilst you're at it you can bring Wynn. She's a nice mage.
Morrigan is well. She morally grey, but at least she isn't a complete lunatic like some of the other mages. Heck after seing some of the other mages, she seems pretty sane. Which is saying a lot because Morrigan is just strange.
Okay that's actually 3 likable mages. Merril is likable but she is naive to the point of being dangerous. Seriously, after having killed her mother, I ended up having to kill an entire Dalish Clan simply because I didn't realise there was a peaceful means of conflict resolution.
Hawke and Varric are more dangerous than all the mages put together. He started this war with the Deep Roads Expexition, which led to Bartrand giving a lyrium sword to Meredith which aggrivated the conflict to the point of war. So basically, if Meredith hadn't squeezed the mages so tightly as a result of Hawke and Varric's Deep Road antics, Anders wouldn't have blown up the Chantry and Hawke wouldn't have been forced to choose between Templars and Mages when Rite of Annulment was declared.
In short. Hawke and Varric are more danagerous than every mage and templar put together. If it weren't for them, some other foolish Han Solo type would have funded Bartrand's expedition causing this situation which would have happened anyway.
