Oh yes. The meteor. Good times.
In Final Fantasy games mages don't have a dangerous connection with the fade to gain magical powers.

In FF XIII for example they have a dangerous connection with Demi-Gods that send them on a mission without telling them what that mission is and when they fail they become Mechanoid Abominations...

Hmm. That sounds familiar... Dragon Age familiar...

I too support the mage. BUT, seriously, they do need to show us more good mages, unlike in DA 2. How the heck can I convince the world that Mages are not evil if almost every single mages I encountered in DA 2 are either possessed, or crazy. Even my mage companions, one is blood mage almost release a demon to this world out of stupidity, and the other went all Taliban and blew up the damn Chantry full of people? As much as I want to put on good words for mages, they didn't make it easy. It's like asking people to support a group of crazy terrorists. At least show us the good, suffered mages so that people can sympathize, understand, and support them for Maker's sake.

I swear, if Dragon Age Inquisition doesn't show any nice mages I can sympathise with, I'll support the templars.

Just one nice mage.

Well there is Bethany.

Is Bethany in Inquisition? If so that would be nice.:wizard:

Whilst you're at it you can bring Wynn. She's a nice mage.

Morrigan is well. She morally grey, but at least she isn't a complete lunatic like some of the other mages. Heck after seing some of the other mages, she seems pretty sane.

Actually I think Morrigan is one of the mos sane mage in the whole franchise. Most of her reaction, while crude and cruel sometimes, did make sense. Unlike those crazy lunatics we have in DA 2 :/
Other than Morrigan, Wynn, Bethany, and Irving are pretty much the only mages I can actually like, and the reason I believe mages aren't evil.
(Spoiler alert, don't read this if you haven't read Asunder) Too bad Wynn won't be coming back though :( She was like a mother figure to my Warden.

If anyone could scold the templars and mages into getting along, she could.

It's unlikely at any rate. The templars/seekers leaders are so zealous now that they'll never grant any concessions to the mages, and the mages are so fed up with how they've been treated that it's highly unlikely they'd ever go back to the Circles without major concessions from the chantry and the templars losing a lot of authority they previously had.

Well as a Tevinter magister it's not really necesary to be an as* to your slaves, but to view mundanes as equals is living in denial.

I agree with Andrew from chronicle: A lion does not feel guilty when killing a deer, and you don't feel guilty when you squish a fly. Mages should not feel guilty for doing with mundanes as they please.
Then again if you own a dog, you can be a good owner, if you own slaves, you can be good to them as well, as long as it's a good dog/slaves, that don't have to be put down.

The Templars and the Chantry can shove that Rite of Tranqulity rod up their asses because we will fight for our freedom at all cost.

Mages are clearly better than normal people, stand higher on a evolution ladder. They should rule over simpletons imo. The mage rule shouldn't be as brutal as Tevinter variant, but they still have to rule with an iron fist in a velvet glove.

Templar & Qunari opression is absolutely unacceptable.

"We only fear that which we do not understand".

Can't we just have a school that teaches everyone about magic and imprison whoever makes deals with demons? Knight Captain Cullen hinted at this already.

Develop an education system that doesn't involve a life time of incarceration, pretty please? :wizard:

Well, Anders is a Grey Warden and still considered an apostate wanted by the Chantry, so it's hardly beyond possibility.

Anders is recruited specifically because Grey Wardens can't be apostates or legally hunted by the Chantry. Second, Anders is not a Grey Warden anymore.

Grey Warden mages are technically apostates, according to the developers. According to the Chantry, any mage outside the Circle is breaking "the commandments of the Maker", but Grey Warden mages are given a reprieve from templars due to their status within the order.
