Anders and hero should never be in the same sentence, he is a deluded anarchist who purposely blows up a building full of innocent people to try and spark a war and failed in that regard
I think you are wrong on that last point. He most certainly did spark a war. Granted, it was a long time in coming, but he certainly added a crap ton of fuel to the fire.

True. As a Spirit Healer, you walk a VERY fine line. Such powerful healing has its risks, as does any magic. You certainly have be aware of potential costs versus the potential benefits when practicing that kind of magic.

And the burning streets... and the hundred ton chunks of Chantry thrown across Kirkwall.
Don't consult your headcanon - consult the cutscene.

And yes, I do like some blood magic, merely as a means of giving and extra boost to my normal spells. But never for mind control or demon summoning, or their upper tier powers. Nothing could ever justify those in my mind.
I find nothing wrong with summoning a demon for as long as you have full control over it. Mind control can also be useful for crowd control. If you're sorrounded by enemies that is too much for you to handle I find nothing wrong with controling a few of them to cause a distraction.

I give all credit to Adrian and Fiona. At the beginning of Asunder, Rhys says the Kirkwall RoA is the reason talk of rebellion never goes farther than talk.eluvianix wrote...

Neutrality was part of the problem.
Could you stay neutral if you knew people were being abused?

You know, to be honest, I wouldn't mind something like that. It would have to be an upper level templar, for sure.Medhia Nox wrote...
@eluvianix: As I do not hate the Templars - I think my greatest form of reconciliation would be to have a Templar "Oath Bound" (I'm making stuff up now) to me with the orders (from me) to kill me if I show signs of losing myself to the Spirit.

And I don't begrude Elthina's neutrality as you perceive it. I view it this way - she was attempting to cool tensions out of her concern for the Circle. For obvious reaons, she would have to side with Meredith if it came to it, and permit the RoA.eluvianix wrote...

Should we just accept that they were raping mages?
What can you possibly say to make not stopping that right away all right?
Remember there are children in the tower,do you think the abuse stopped with adults?
Just accepting abuse is not peace.
