Ah, the PS4 camera is not included. It's a separate accessory for $59.

Good. Another accessory I don't want, and won't use. I never once used the Move, either.

Not a deal-breaker for me as I rarely play online with my PS3 and mostly use it to sync my trophies.
At least we can all agree PS Move was a massive failure on Sony's part. Every Move-only game so far has gotten mediocre to negative reviews.

Idealistic forward-thinkers. The idea intrigues me (complete voice and hand commands are like something out of science-fiction that I've always dug), but not the connectivity, personal "monitoring" or data gathering that comes with it.

Don't bring in the PC has been doing perfectly, etc. I realize that PC is better in most aspects, but, it's all about preference and I was a huge PC gamer back in the day and I'm getting back into it (just build a new one). This argument isn't about PS4 being the "savior of gaming" or how it relates to the PC, in terms of spec, obviously the PC will outclass it, that's not the point. In terms of what console gamers want (including me, but I'm fortunate enough to be able to do both PC and console gaming), the PS4 seems to win out, but if you don't like the games it will offer, then I don't see anything wrong with hitting up the X1. You have to be prepared for what the X1 is doing, in terms of limitations with how you own the game and all that jazz.
The whole console war bull**** just makes me laugh though, as if you believe you're superior because your game runs smoother or looks better, that's GREAT!

This is true of DISC-BASED games. Sony was very clear about this. I'm not saying they're wrong for making the distinction, but let's not forget that and bash them for "going against their word" when details about DRM for downloaded titles come out.Elton John is dead wrote...
- DRM: None. All pre-owned games work without restrictions and can be sold freely.
I agree on the merits of the machines and policies, but MS is counting on the general public not caring and buying Xbox One in large numbers. They may well be right.
- Summary: Has already won the console war. Wii U comes in close second. Ouya third and then Xbox ****e last.

And what's with all these PC Gaming Master Race people? Console-PC hybrid FTW. When I want old games I'll play on PC. When I want DRM-free offline games then I play on console.

Downloaded titles can never be shared. That's not what we're talking about and tbh no one cares about that. If I buy a disk though it should be mine to do as I please, even give it away freely.

The PC comments about it being "superior" aren't any worse than your OP is, anyway.
Really though in terms of the silly popularity contest that we call the console war, the most important factor imo is still going to be the actual games.
If the games on the X1 end up being better than those on the PS4, then it's not really going to matter what you can do with your disc based games.

Just out of curiosity, would people be okay with no used games if Microsoft were to remove hard copies altogether, ala purchasing/downloading games off Steam?

Good point. It doesn't matter how many people you can share your games with, if they all suck. Luckily, Playstation is well-known for exclusives, something which Microsoft appears to be fighting against, finally. Ryse for example looks fantastic.

No matter how good a system is, if its cheaper, more powerful and more consumer friendly.....people will go where the best games are.

From what I've seen, the PS4 has won hands down. The X-box one is going to make the Wii-U look like a hot seller.
But did Sony win?
http://www.gamespot....s-study-6343451?
If that article is true, and 56% of gamers don't buy games, then about 75 million of the combined 140 million systems never generated any revenue, and actually cost the platform owner money. Microsoft just made all of those people Playstation customers. So let's take the hypothetic situation where all 140 million people buy a console, and Sony loses $50 for each console. That means Microsoft just forced Sony to take a 3.75 billion dollar loss, at a point in time where Sony is having significant enough money problems that it sold it's US headquarters to come up with cash.
That could easily bury the game arm of Sony, or at least force radical changes.
Microsoft doesn't care, The X-box was never a major thing for them. They can release a living room friendly OS for the PC and keep on going. This could very easily be a rather devious ploy for MS to strike Sony where it's weakest and eliminate it's only real competitor.
Don't get me wrong, I'm going to pick up a PS4 and avoid the X-box One. It's just a very interesting move to me, it's obviously a massive mistake, so obvious that one can't imagine what they're thinking. Unless what they're thinking isn't "Win the console war", but an extremely devious strategy for eliminating their competition.
Edit:
Keep in mind, 75 million go to Sony, MS and Sony split the remainder, so you have a situation (potentially) where < 50% of the people are generating revenue, it'd take years for Sony to recoup their costs on the portion that doesn't.

Tbh, I really loved those formations you were able to create. Just brought out my Greek heritage and all that ****, rofl. Even though it's Rome, those shield formations were so wonderful to watch.
