Since, Bioware breaks up completed content and calls it dlc for preorders only your pretty much forced to preorder or miss out in the long run on important parts of the game.

I'll probably pre-order it. I loved both the other DA games, so I don't see any reason not to.

No.
I i pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 and i got my lesson.
Will wait for reviews and if the game has a good PC port like Origins did then i will consider buying it.

I know and I'd tell you what I think about it except such language would likely get me banned. Nevertheless, given the last two major releases, Bioware has to earn back enough trust from me to preorder again. If DA:I is good, then I'll pay the extra, but I won't trust it sight unseen.

Yes since I have no regrets about pre-ordering ME3 and only a few about doing it with Dragon Age.

I never pre-order.

I'm going to pre-order, always intended to. Since the release is so far off though I'll probably wait until 6 months from release or something. Not sure if I'll get Collectors edition or anything, but I think it is likely since I like to get as much items, DLC and gooedies as possible.

Assuming I'm in a place to be able to do so, the plan is to preorder the collector's edition (hopefully it doesn't end up as trashy as the ME3 one).
But it's still a year away. Anything could happen.

Maybe, depends on what bonuses I would get. And how the game is shaping up. And if there's a demo I like.

Nope waiting on reviews.

Been burned too many times to be eager to preorder, and the trailer, while impressive told me nothing that would sway me from that stance.
But hey, they've got a year and a half to change my mind

I don't listen to reviews from gamespot, ign, gameinformer or whatever profesional gaming sites there are.
Sure i read all of them, however they don't effect my decision. I listen to people like Totalhalibut that show everything about the game. They show gameplay, specs, decent PC port or not (i'm a PC gamer) and etc...
They don't scream: OMG THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER GO BUY IT NOW or vice versa. They explain what ups and downs the game has and if it's worth the full price. You really think i decided to buy Skyrim when i heard Angry Joe screaming about it the first two minutes to buy it? Or when every gaming site reviewed Bioshock Infinite and screamed to buy it. I didn't, i rather bought Last Light, the game that got criticized by many sites, yet it is still miles ahead of Infinite. I still don't own Skyrim and i probably never will since it's the ****iest and the most streamlined ES game compared to Oblivion, Morrowind and Dagerfall.
What effects my final decision? When i try the game myself and play it to some extend whether i like it or not.
That's the point where i decide to buy it or not, however doing research about it, reading few reviewes and watching some videos also never hurts.
That being said i will pre-order The Witcher 3 as soon as it become available.

No. I very rarely pre-order, and only if I know for absolute certainty what I'm getting myself into. I pre-ordered Borderlands 2, for example, because I knew exactly what kind of game it was going to be, and there wasn't going to be any significant deviation from my expectation.
I can't even begin to discern anything about Dragon Age: Inquisition right now, certainly not from a 3-minute trailer.

I loved DAO still do. I enjoyed DA2 somewhat the recycled maps and lack of character interaction outside of home bases killed replayability but I likes it ok. ME3. Oh boy ME3.
Well its all been said before but as to preordering?
ROFLMFAO.
Never again. Youtube, user reviews and waiting until the end of the DLC cycle before I decide whether or not to purchase. I do hope for the best, I love the look of Varric and the new world in the new engine. but I will never ever be tricked by a game developer into purchasing a game that should be entertaining but is instead a hot mess of depression and overkill artsy fartsy angst for no reason other then oooooh its artsy.
I love video games for what they actually are entertainment. **** art I want fun. If I buy it which I think I may it will be because I know what I am purchasing ahead of time and because it is a fun kickass game.

Even though I did not buy the game, I made the decision to quit pre-ordering after Aliens: Colonel Marines. The only useful thing that comes from pre-orders are the gift cards you get sometimes with Amazon pre-orders. And depending on the hack-job they do to the game, I might even wait until an "ultimate" edition comes out.

I will probably preorder this just because I want it quickly. If there is a CE, my preorder will be dependant on the quality and price of packaged DLC story content.

I wouldn't do the $80 CE for ME3, but I may consider it for a DA game. Maybe. My expected price for gaming has been lowered dramatically as of late though. :innocent:Dovaaa wrote...
