On Lawson I didn't get extracted the first time and I wasn't too happy about that.  Had to redo it and it took 3s longer.

Nope, Sorry. I was pestered into changing Ariake, but nobody had completed that at that point (and I regret changing it). I won't budge on Blasteroid, especially now that it has been completed!

Oh, hold up. I thought you were asking about Blasteroid. Misread your post. For Ariake platinum, CSMG is now allowed. ( I had changed it, as I mentioned above.) Blasteroid stays as it is though.

I may attempt blasteroid because it's collectors and there are very few double boss waves (2,4, and 8 and I can rocket them toward the end), making it slightly bearable than shuriken/scimitar vs. hordes of double banshees.

 

With CSMG, I may attempt Ariake.

CSMG made ariake bearable.  Double banshees were miserable and made you retreat a decent amount, but it was manageable.  I can imagine that Blasteroid platinum will inevitably come down to you vs. the abomination horde.

Yes, that'd be the strategy. Equip AC V, use a clean up nuke on double boss waves (2,4,6 and 8), and hunt abombs. And pray that you don't get targets or some bad devices.

 

Did you do ariake on platinum btw?

Shield boost kinda trivializes the game and collectors are filled with mooks, it was a pleasant and for the most part stressless experience overall.

Was grinding this challenge a bit hard, simply because of collectors (such joy to combat!). Got a nice run after a few attempts.

Rio sucks.  The first one I got grabbed on 10.  It didn't matter though since my strategy was crap and I wasn't going to have the right medal count since I had too many frag and Carnage kills which don't give you jack.

 

I succumbed to peer pressure for Broker and Lawson.

 

youtube keeps claiming it doesn't recognize my file formats now, but will try to process anyway.  I don't know why that is.  Guess I need to switch back to mp4.
