Objectives are the most important part of the game.  The cover also has so many fake walls where Banshee warps go straight through or Ravager shots can magically fit through that it is annoying as hell.

Wow. Morning HoF update with new quickest time for the insanity challenge for this week. It's faster than FTL! (Who saw that coming?). I don't know if this record will be broken! I agree with smooth, I'm pretty sure that vid would've been a hit! PS, nice round number on that N7.

Welcome d_nought and Faster This is the place to be if your looking to use up some consumables and respec cards, not to mention, make legendary gameplay videos!  It's all in good fun. Looking forward to some vids!

Wanted to get my to total time under 4 hours!!! Almost didn't get 3 Waves Survived, last Marauder killed me Wave 1, then a random Ravager sniped me on 4. Had to play super careful after that, soc I didn't improve much, but I got it after Wave 8.

@kocka: That's a significant impovement on your time! Congrats. I'll update the HoF now! How'd you find it overall compared to the insanity challenge?

Much easier, although the stagger of the Striker is nice when you are running in to Multi-Frag a spawn. Way easier to deal with Banshees and big armor. Wanted to be more reckless in later waves but couldn't cause I still needed the medal

Edit: I would really like to see a vid from FTL.  26 minutes with the Striker is ridiculous, I just can't beleive it.

I will emphasize trying to have videos. Especially for PC which is a lot easier to record. We want to see incredible gameplay! Show off your skills

It took me a lot of attempts to finish AND get good objectives, I had drones fall into the ground, ridiculous Banshee grabs, but in the end the Destroyer is unstoppable. One of my favorite classes on one of my favorite maps:


I will upload the video. It was the hardcore challenge with the typhoon!

I agree.  Anything should go.  Also remove any language in the first post implying that a video is worth having.

Nice time! That is seriously impressive. I don't think I can ever break 30! haha I'll update the HoF now 

PS This thread has tons of life left, so many challenges! No flame wars here. Thanks for the support!

Edit: I tried the insanity run a third time last night. got devices on wave 3, pizza on 6 and then the brutal center hack for 10. I had literally 5 seconds left in the hack and I died out. Brutal! It really is all about getting the right objectives. I also forgot about the cheese hack move that prob woulda saved me.

Post the screeenshot, I'll update your time. That's sub-40. I'm impressed. my runs are going a lot slower. Edit: you usually post vids, I like.

Some really great times going up, and the challenge has only been on for two days! Awesome stuff, can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings.

As for my efforts, still not having too much luck. Tried five times today, and managed to get a hack/upload on wave 10 every time. Even lost a sub-35min time to getting slammed by a Brute right after gelling :/

I am addicted to pain this challenge, though.

To keep things fair and to nip this convo in the b***. New rule, from here on out, vid is required for PC (since there is a leaderboard and I don't think it's too difficult to do on pc). For console, do what you can to try to record - I personally have a cam and just film my screen - it looks fine. I wish I could record like on PC! I'll still accept screen shots for console.

Again, it's all based on an honor system, I trust people are doing these legitimately. I think a big part of this thread was also to be able to watch the gameplay which is why I think it's a good idea.

That being said, have fun and good luck with this week's challenge!

@FatherofPearl: I feel your pain. I'm going to have a few more runs tonight. I'm out of AR III amps though :s

@ Prestacious. All of the pc guys here should be able to record easily. Its more of a difficult challenge for the console guys as we have to use additional hardware and software to record.

To make it easier you can direct the PC guys to use a FREE software called Fraps. I am positive they all know about it as its what I also use to record my PC gameplay.

You can post it on the thread so that everyone has access to the link. Again its FREE and easy to use.

Also some people with lower spec will have issues recording on PC due to getting lower FPS (I get about 55-59 while recording, some people with lesser specs might go down to about 20-30) and we all have heard enough of how much of a big deal frame rate is on PC.
