Always wanted to try perfect gold solo, but I knew it would take me a long time, so I was postponing it. Recently did a couple of tries but never got very far. I started this one slow trying to be careful. Banshees gave me hell - it takes 6 or 7 nades to kill one banshee for me, even though I specked in power on passives. I think I spent like an hour on wave 5 just learning how to deal with double banshees. But once it was over I decided to keep going and complete it. So here is my super long krogan solo, so nothing to be in awe about, but since I did it I might as well just post it.

 

I am pure krogan. Hardcore, upload/escort/upload.

Ok, I take the sexbot claim back. This was the easiest tier so far. Either that, or I figured out glacier. (Or I'm getting better?....... Nah.)

 

Tempted to try this on plat, but have to finish the last two tiers on gold first. Because doing things in order.

Using the Scorpion is a bigger help. Otherwise it wouldn´t have been possible.

 

But N7 I is far more difficult than Ash. I don´t think it´s possible for me to clear this one. I fear no N7 for me

That´s what I said. No Scorpion, no success on Ash. But Phantom DR remains BS.

- Ex-Clusum is right, I did become a softie with the N7 series on platinum. I will not cave for N7 l though!

- Also, YlKil, I commend you good soldier on your concentration and endurance! However, you got way to close to my record for longest gold solo! (155 mins )

CM IV has proven useless for me so far. I got killed by a single Phantom melee several times, while having full health. I´m too slow without adrenaline module :/

 

Plan of using rockets: wave 5x2, 8x3, 9x3, 10x1.

That is true, but keep in mind that I make everyone else feel good, because comparing to my time, all other times look so much better!

So which sidearm do people feel would be fair to permit on this one? I've permitted the Scorpion on a couple of the later Cerberus runs on Platinum, which I think is only fair considering how difficult these are. Shall I permit the Acolyte for N7 l. Platinum only?

I updated the N7 challenge series rules to include the platinum sidearm allowances. The update includes Acolyte for N7 l. It may trivialize the challenge for some, but I think in the grand scheme of the entire N7 series on platinum, it doesn't change the overall difficulty of the entire series much (and I didn't want to allow scorpion again). Completing all 21 challenges on platinum even with the sidearms is quite a feat. (Plus Cerberus on-host damage reduction is just not fun on platinum.)

Nah, I give up. Doesn´t make sense to continue on this map called Glacier. Never liked Glacier anyway.

RNG doesn´t help at all. When I make it to wave 3, I mostly get devices or targets.

 

Maybe it´s a good moment to retire from this game. I´m going to get mad, if I´ll continue (Almost 40 attempts today. Best ended at wave 9).
