What's a decent way to control the spawn on Ghost so you can nuke?  I have done the Legion one a couple times now and it isn't particularly fast, but trying to missile on a couple waves is pissing me off even more than the crappy objectives.  And even if I get them to be in one spot, it is hard to tell which one they will actually be in.

I cant nuke on ghost either. Maybe U could look some of the faster vids on the gold speed run thread ?

I had a 10 minutes faster run on that last one, but I had mistakenly believed that I had the 75 shotgun kills, so I proceeded to destroy everything with tech bursts and grenades. Turns out I had only the silver shotgun medal. And on the successful 50 minutes run I had 2 blank missiles and none left for wave 10 or post objective cleanup. Regardless, I'm not coming back to that challenge unless it's for the Insanity version. I do not like RIo.

Damn.

Had a wave 10 wipe on N5 II. It was all good til wave 9 where I burned my last 2 gels, and after 2 escorts, I got Targets with only 3 missiles left.

This is why I don't Vorcha. I am, however, enjoying learning the Executioner

That's always an issue with cerberus/gold, especially on larger maps.

 

Atlases almost never spawn together, phantoms separate away from the rest very quickly before you can even reach the spawn....

 

Your best bet would be to wait for them to group up mid-way through the wave and then nuke.

^It's actually Reapers for Legion.  Getting split Banshees a lot.  And I guess I am just slow in that game.  Can't decide what gear to use or if I should drop the Power Amp on the GethSMG for more magazine (for more IA cheese).

 

I was thinking about waiting for nuking, but I am not doing a good job of keeping units together.  They are just showing up all over the place.

 

I am not really sure why I want to grind this one, but I did.  I get targets basically every time as well.

wave 3 & 6 were the hack near the ladder by LZ, wave 10 was an escort that was going well then turned for the worst after it was over because I was overzealous with clean up rockets (had 4). Nevertheless it is done and not a moment too soon. 

 

Then again I haven't looked at N5 III....

Yeah, I do love the Carnifex so I'm expecting to be more comfortable with it than I was with the Executioner. However, using the Cabal scares me, and I'm not looking forward to soloing Cerberus on Goddess of all maps.

Yes* to all of those..

 

*But for some challenges (like the ones in Blackwatch, Outlier etc.), cheesing hacks and pizzas aren't allowed. Make sure to read the rules for those sets of challenges - they are specified.

Welcome Lux Caelum and happy hunting! As was mentioned, different series have different rules and reqs. It's all mentioned for each series though. For The N7 Series, the rules are as follows:

 

Gold and Silver:

- Full Extraction Required

- No Armored Compartments

- Screenshot required, vid for the top three times highly encouraged.

- Note: Personal Gold medals include Killstreaks and Waves Survived but not Gold completion and full extraction

Platinum

- Mission Successful required, not full extraction

- Armored compartments permitted

- Medal requirements and waves survived requirements are waived.

- Screenshot required, vid for the top three times highly encouraged.

 

Clever use of in-game mechanics such as Pizza-running and hack glitching are permitted for the N7 series. Game modding (for a certain type of objective for instance) is not permitted however for any of the challenges in any series.

Yeah that isn't too much different than what I have now, I have been running power mod on the SMG for all except the most recent game where I took ext mag.  It seemed like it should have been faster, but wasn't by much.  I have tried it with Expert Package, Stronghold, SMG Amp, and Assault Loadout, but can't tell if one is much better than the other.

And a lot of rage quits.  All of those except the last one with at least one targets.  In two of them when I fired my wave 10 missile and switched back to the SMG, it was stuck firing forever.  I don't know how you get it to stop after that happens.
