Hack, Hack, Targets

 

When I died on wave 2 of this one, instead of rage quitting and assuming I wouldn't get 5 WS, I told myself that I needed them on 3-7. I cheesed the first hack, but couldn't cheese the 2nd, which was weird cuz I thought I got out of the circle faster the 2nd time around  . I had fun playing Ring Around The Rosy with Dragoons & Phantoms during the 2nd hack, as I was determined not to leave. I eeked out of wave 7 with 5 WS and knew that I'd never want to do this challenge again if I failed so I didn't.

 

It didn't take a lot of attempts; worse yet, I literally stopped soloing for the last few weeks though. Came home tonight and got tired of not posting in this thread, so I got it done. 

 

Also Smehur, I had been using a build similar to yours since I realized I wasn't going to use many grenades. I didn't want to eliminate them altogether but it turns out I could've; the Tech Bursts were plentiful in this one

Thanks. And yes, all the N7 missions sound even worse than this. I'm already dreading those 10 WSs.

Yeah, could've probably gone without the nades, though they saved my life a couple times, especially under AR. As for the tech bursts, I still wonder why with so many of them, as you say, one doesn't get more tech kills. Maybe Mattock would be better for that?

Targets, pizzas, targets. I managed to swith from Atlases to Nemeses and Phantoms for the targets, so actually the pizzas w6 were more annoying because turrets, turrets everywhere !

 

 

N2 2 involves Collectors. I think I will have to do a 2 hours session of yoga before doing it to be in the right mood lol.

Funfact: I attempted the same challenge yesterday (again), was able to switch targets on W3 to nemesissis(sissies) like you BUT got downed during Pizza delivery W6 by turrets. Ragequit. I'll never get past W6 on that one.

All you may need is a hack or a good escort wave 6. Nothing really wrong with your build, though I like to have the headshot bonus on characters with Stasis. Could you two-shots Phantoms in Stasis ? I think this is important.

Thank you for the vote of confidence after the last time. But I'm afraid it all depends on whether Clyde will take another couple weeks of break, because with my track record, that's how much I'll need to do N7s. (And I'm being optimistic.)

As for the tech bursts, I still wonder why with so many of them, as you say, one doesn't get more tech kills.

My guess is the DoT from Concussive Shot steals some even though they come up as Tech Bursts on the killfeed. 

 

Having 0 grenades did come in handy, being able to use that button to reload-cancel with.

I bet HeroicMass does. Though my gameplay is vastly superior, I couldn't imagine using his as a point of reference over mine.
