Got sloppy at the end of wave 8, so I had to play with 0 gels onward. Looots of kiting. Rio is ... tedious...le sigh

 

 

Week 13 Retake Omega Part 1 - I Am Omega!

Derperus on Ghost - sound nice, there are several spots where you can make a stand and make waves 4 and 7 fly by, not to mention get stuff to bunch up and clear with missiles. This should be easy, right?! Uh-huh.

 

I must have had well over a dozen attempts on this one. the most frustrating one was two days ago. I am in the zone, I am entering wave 10 with 2163 consumables, not to get excited, but we a re going for 10 Waves Survived, boys and girls!  Yeah, right... The objective is escort, I turn around to see where exactly it is, make two paces  and get immediately downed due to Atlas rocket stagger and ensuing phantom crossfire. Oh well, whatever, at least I'm gonna take this one after ten or so attempts. Time is gonna be good, too, around 42-43 minutes depending on cleanup. Problem is, I gotta take the drone all the way across the lower courtyard to the housings above the LZ and there are two Atlases camping on top of the drone. I get flustered a bit, so I use a rocket to clear some phantoms and the Atlases but no dice - another two spawn almost on top of me. All right, new plan - I'm gonna do that kiting thing that scrubs do. We play a few of rounds of hide and seek, I get downed a couple more times but who cares - I got medi-gel to spare, don't you look at me in that tone of voice! I finally manage to get the drone to its final position and complete the objective, when a single phantom pops out of nowhere and does her stabbity-stab thing...

Week 14 The League Of One

After the frustrations of the previous one, this was pure relaxation - Salarian, Falcon and Geth on Gold, this must be heaven. I can go for 10 WS, I can go for time, but I just wanted to kick it back a bit, so here's my first attempt.

I don't do many solos, but if I find something interesting I may do it. I mean  I don't think I have the patience for some of the solo challnges out there lol. I also tend to be conservative when playing so they take longer to finish.

Weekly Challenges Series 1 Insanity

 

Week 15 Haestrom, Thermonuclear

That was my second attempt. The first one would have been faster, 23-25 minutes depending on objective, but on wave 9 a drone circled around the map and pushed right in the firing field of the two Primes. 8 Siege Pulses later I am downed and say goodbye to the 10 WS medal. Naturally, I played much worse on my second attempt and got targets that I couldn't switch, to boot. But dead is dead and the toasters got thoroughly disassembled on their excursion to Haestrom.

 

 

Week 16 The Gozu District

33:59 - x3lander (220972 pts)    Devices|Escort|Hack

 

Nice map, nice enemy faction, monster kit and a lovely weapon... what more could you want?! I had several successful runs on this one, but I wasn't satisfied with the time, there was always something going wrong. One time I had to use my wave 10 cleanup missile before the objective was done in order to avoid getting grab by the crab. Another, I had pizza that was being camped by a whole spawn, targets that I couldn't switch and hack that I failed to glitch. Yet another I got chain-killed by a gang of husks and Scions on wave 7 and ended up with no missiles and gels for wave 9 and 10. But, in the end, the stars aligned and I was one happy harpooning batarian scumbag.

 

 

Next one looks like fun - Derperus on Reactor (often has shitty objectives), no Crutch Scanner and no Cyclonics...

No armored compartments, no spawn misiles. Missiles for targets on w10, One missile for a prime and banshee on w10, One unused.
One medigel during 2nd pizza, damn those cerberus turrets! Would have got shiny gold otherwise
4 Ops Packs, yes thankyou bioware for respawning pyros right behind my back , hell as if I didn't know that already.
2 thermal clips, so anoying runing out of ammo when you are about to make a corpse of those damn pretorians.

Thing is when I started soloing I never thought I would be posting anything anywhere, matter of fact I didn't even know these challenges existed at all, so all I have is the final result of my games and some info on the objectives, I just kept them for nostalga's sake, I did it after my first plat thinking I was never going to do another one, but then I did another one and I took a screenshot too, and then another one, and another one after that, and so on lol.

Also I don't have any recording software, not that this old coffe maker of a pc I use at the moment would be able to take the load, so I have no recordings unfortunately.

So if they accepted only final screenshot, then I would post them, otherwise I guess I'll keep them for old times sake.

It was later I found out about prestacious and I did some golds for fun but my times are long lol, I didn't even bother posting them. And later on I met AW through a friend played a few games together, always so much fun playing with AW , and he was so much into this solo thing that here I am.

I don't know how much longer I'll be playing the game but if I get the chance to do a few more challenges I'll post them here.

Thank you Prestacious, it's a pleasure. That was an interesting challenge and I like the geth and Legion of course And I thought I needed the 5w silver medal to complete it!
