This time I had the medals and got magnet handed by a phantom. On wave 11.

 

That's what I get for not rage quitting devices on wave 3. I did them but it took 3 ops packs which would've come in handy later.

Huge HoF update!

 

- TheNightSlasher and AW_FC are Legion! They are first two on the completionist leaderboard for completing all challenges in the series!

- Slasher and Alquinn set the records for Deadly Precision and Mines Everywhere!

- AW_FC sets the record for Venom AI (gold). We have 4 sub-20s already listed for this challenge! The question is, how low can we go!? Note all sub-20s will be listed under the sub-20 HoF for this challenge.

the weapon/power killing is a nice build tailoring to find . I also had few extraction fails: glacier+goon/phantom rush ...

Dont forget full auto rocket launcher primed at each spawn. Flamer are not too much of a pain as there are not spawns behind U most of the time

So after taking a 9-day break from the game due to RL reasons, I came back and together with MIranda_LawsoN7 and AW_FC_1986 picked up the trio challenges.

This was an entertaining trip to Scrub City Central. MLN7 started off The Fist Of Lord Venom by dying at wave 1. AW_FC_1987 apparently felt he was left behind so he had a similar achievement on wave 1 of A House Divided. Thereupon I felt like the odd man out, so I bled out elegantly on wave 11 of the same challenge. After getting the 3WS medal on We Don't Feel Like Dancing we immediately decided to go for the silver one and, naturally, AWFC and I got downed on wave 5... but since this wasn't enough scrubbery in action we went over the 20  minute mark, just for kicks...

 

We arrived at Scrub Central by the time we were doing the Scout, Tank, Support, where MLN7 got picked by a crab once, I got picked by a crab twice (with a Drell no less), and AWFC was desperate to join the club, but his Juggie was sadly prevented from it due to stupid game mechanics. Oh, well, what can you do...

 

We do have a screen and video from this one, but we'll retry it soon for a sub 20 run and after that all evidence will be thoroughly destroyed. Some things are just too... shameful.

 

I expect MLN7 will have the videos up later next week, so either he or I will post links to them.

Weekly Challenges Series 1 Insanity

Week 17. I Will Destroy You!

I was in the zone on this one, got to wave 6 with 6266, had a lucky break with objectives, but then come wave 9 the game started lagging brutally on me; whether it was some kind of Windows Update or something else I still have no idea. I lost all my gels and ops packs and was ready to quit and break some furniture, cause all my previous attempts proved that I need at least some reserve for wave 11, not to mention wave 10. I did not, however, since Avdentes Fortvna Ivvat, and, lo and behold, I got another lucky break with the objective. I wisely kept a missile in reserve for wave 11 (and my time suffered for it) but that decision proved crucial, since an Atlas would have staggered me right before extraction (something that happened on a previous 36 minutes run and I ended the game two paces away from the EZ - Mission Successful but, alas, no Full Extraction ).

 

N6. Ash was a walk in the park compared to this one. I will never, ever, divulge how many attempts it took me to beat it. Cerberus and Reactor can eat sh!t and die in a trash bin!!!
