The medal requirements made this the most difficult solo I've done so far. I didn't exactly count, but I think I made 40+ attempts: ~20 ragequits upon dying before wave 3 due to irrational determination to get all the grabs right at the start at any cost; ~10 ragequits upon dying during the wave 4 rush; and ~10 games with 5 WS that mostly ended on waves 10 and 11 due to shitty objectives, no consumables, and of course, phantoms camping the landing zone. After I finally pulled it off, I was like: I ain't nevah doing a solo with medal reqs again. Nevah!

 

Doubt I'll really own up to that promise, tho.

This one was surprisingly easy. Very dependent on objectives, but I got lucky after only a handful of attempts. Geth are a piece of cake on gold.

 

Ariake (Gold)

68:52 - Smehur (259760 pts)

 

This I struggled with a bit more than I expected, had some unbelievable derps during objectives and a surprising number of banshee hugs. On this last run (hack-hack-hack if you believe it), a banshee picked me up on extraction, but luckily something else killed me and I was able to get away from the mob. It was the no no NO NO NO moment of the month.

 

 

Phew. All done. Been at this for a solid half of a year, I think.

- AW_FC comlpetes all the original weekly solos on Legendary difficulty! He's only the second to do so   He's just one challenge away from the title of Legend of Lore. Let's face it that is not an easy title to obtain. It is currently held only by ex-Clusum.

- muahmuah continues the difficult Servant of The people platinum solo journey with I Am Legion, Pt2!

- x3lander, muahmuah and AW_FC go ballistic and submit an incredible amount of runs to pull into the lead as a trio team for the Triune Trials as N2 and they submit records for:

Cyone Must Not fall,

Merely the weapon,

183 pull-ups,

Indoctrinated and 

Hold The Line

- Clyde, RBhershey and E-Hoss complete the servant of the people trios completing the Prime category! And Clyde completes two solos including a 10WS, edging him closer to that completionist board!

- Clyde, RBHershey and MrsFlyingKebab also embark on the Triune trials with a couple of nice submissions!

- ctc submits some more incredibly quick redo's of the original solo series, setting new console records for all three submissions! (This Hurts you, League of One, and First Blink After Coma)

- As mentioned earlier, Smehur is now N7 and that HoF is updated accordingly

- And last but definitely not least, theNightSlasher is the first person in the history of the thread to go sub-10hrs on the N7 challenge series by setting the new record for The Intangible is Unstoppable and shaving a blistering 20 mins off of Ariake as well!!

Nope you do not, I was sure I'd miss something with that huge update. Thanks for letting me know, and congrats! You are Legion and Geth Master Race! Very impressive stuff muah muah. Only the second person to complete all challenges on insanity!!

 

That means that upon completing the N7 challenge series (or any of the routes to becoming an officer), you will also have the title of Geth Master Race! (Note, none of the race-specific series give direct officer status as it would undermine all the hard work of those who completed the N7 series or original solos, but those titles earned in those series are then automatically applied if you become officer )

 

Edit: I think that's fair, eh officers? I haven't granted officer status based on just one of these series in the past... I could but it would definitely be an easier route (granted it entails some platinum solos which are difficult). What do you guys think? Keep in mind, the traditional route to becoming an officer requires at a minimum 21 gold solos. Edit2: I also added a legend for all the titles in the officer thread. lol

 

Edit3: I'm thinking of adding another route to becoming an officer... How about completion of the two duo series on either gold or platinum and one of either: Blackwatch Outlier, Kahje Outlier or Geth Master Race. What do you guys think?

Updated previous post with the relevant video links. Will update this one in a day or two when the duo video is up. I found these duos quite hard for some reason, and we never managed to get decent times on them. SCRUB IS ON.

 

Since a certain promotion junkie, who shall remain unnamed, didn't have a high enough level for N4.II we skipped to This Hurts You and we...   got...     destroyed... An apt name for the challenge. I suspect we will all have some free time this Friday or Saturday to play again, so things will get ... interesting.
