Heyall, I've something to ask of the awesome soloists around here who are also up for filming their games. Could someone please record Smehur's Saboteur Challenge on platinum and give me some build and strategy tips? I asked Clusum to do it but he said "it's too hard" which may mean it's really a very hard challenge, or (more likely) that he doesn't really feel like doing it.
 
Why am I asking for this? Well, after I did it on gold with 10 WS I had the idea it would be relatively easy on platinum too but in my dozen or so attempts I never made it past wave 4, not even when I remembered that I can take the acolyte for phantoms. It seemed that no matter where I make a stand or how I choose to move, there's always a prime with a line of sight to me and a hunter or three just behind my back. In the past it often helped me to see a video of a challenge well done, so I'm hoping it might happen again.

Build

Responder loadout is a really good alternative.

I usually run contraclockwise. Don´t stay too long on a spot. Pyros, Hunters and Phantoms like to surprise you from behind. Avoid Primes and run, when they fired. Drones are a primary target, when running away. Acolyte is great choice while taking down Phantoms and to deplete the budget. Trying to fight mocks with bosses is suicide. Evasion is recommended.

 

The middle building at the far end of the map, is a good place to wait for mobs and Phantoms, trying to climp down the ladder. But watch your six with respawning enemies. The building right to the landing zone is another great campspot. The pillars in the right corner works sometimes, too.

Lol awesome. I'm not even sure how to incorporate this into the HoF.. Will I need to make a Collector HoF for those Indoctrinated among us? Especially if this starts spreading through the different series.

He wasn't entirely serious, of course. He did it in the meantime, I just saw the video. No doubt he'll submit it here later. Which doesn't mean everyone else is off the hook! The more the merrier, right?
