I don't want to be the reason for too many people quitting mass effect permanently, and video games altogether! It's perfect.  I'll keep it in the challenge bank. Perhaps we'll see it or something very similar in the future  (I'd prob start getting hate mail- but would make sure to say it's your idea)

^Why I'd be terrible at running something like this - everybody would ragequit because they wouldn't be able to complete the troll challenges I'd come up with. That, and they'd be boring as hell to read, with little to no flavor text.

...then I'll be surprised. Reading hatemail can be very entertaining, though. Getting vote-kicked from BSN lobbies for inflicting something like that upon them... funny the first few times, but then it would lose it's charm.

I didn't see the little story for last week. Is the destroyer just defending earth, or is there some crazy thing I must know?

I finished this week's on hardcore. I would've had a 28 minute run, but I got two four point hacks. The four point spawned next to a spawn one time at the beginning... That never happens? Plus, I used a cleanup missile on wave 3 against a single prime. I shouldn't have been so impatient. Carnifex is a monster though.

I tried last weeks, and I got grabbed because of the A button, and on the second attempt, I had a four-point hack in the center.

Indoctinated Hardcore run (27:33) I know I'm already beat at this point but I'm not sure if I'll be retrying this challenge. So HERE is a decent run I had... ruined by Wave 10 Devices.

Challenge with the Carnifex:


The video got corrupted though, I uploaded a 3min Wave10+extraction video which took 2 hours to encode and has no audio. Seems to be very difficult for the encoder to work with this corrupted video...


I can play the source video in a player though, so I could just film that with a camera and upload it... There is no hope in encoding the originial video I tried that about 5 times with virtualdub and Sony Vegas... no success at all...

Interesting build and mod choices, Max, for a great time too I think I'll try it out.

I took warp for Primes armor.. but if you play it right/have decent objs you shouldn't have to kill to many Primes outright. That extra weapon damage would certainly help, also.

MT, I hope you like the part where I mash the melee button in frustration

Yeah, try the build with overload and disruptor. Disruptor+overload
annihilates shields and primes everything for TBs. The Prime will go down quickly too.

Well done! what build did you use? I would call that a draw) Although someone might still come along and do it faster...

@MaxShine: I went for 4a (Weapon Damage) instead of 4b (Damage & Capacity), rest was pretty much like yours actually. Nice of you calling it a draw, all things considered. I would not be surprised if someone goes a bit faster actually, my run wasn't without flaws and a luckier RNG is almost always possible.

Wave 10 Targets is annoying but I'm not redoing this one...

I'll try to record something for week 3 eventually.

I got so close to completing the Indoctrinated insanity challenge, but I went down during extraction.  With that said I only had three gold medals, so next time I'll need to get 3 kill-streaks to meet the challenge requirements.  My first attempt at the Indoctrinated challenge was a fun experience.  Now I have 1 Cyclonic Modulator IV instead of a III, which shouuld make it easier.

My next steps are:

• Finish Indoctrinated challenge on hardcore and insanity.
• Complete Now I am Become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.
• Re-do Merely the Weapon Challenge
• Re-do the For Thessia Challenge

Of course this all depends on my remaining consumables.

I'm looking to do the hardcore Now I am Become Death challenge and I still have to do both difficulties for this weeks' challenge. (Big solo gaming night tonight). I have no ARIII amps, and despite playing a bunch of platinum games last night, the store refuses to give me one.

I need to learn to pizza run and my escort was BRUTAL- had to kite the enemies 4 times as it went right through the center.

I agree, I need to learn to pizza run too. Well,you cracked 40, that's solid. That's usually the goal I'm aiming these challenges (not so much for the insanity ones, where completing it works for me!)

Then repeat.

The difference with classes that have a dodge is you can't mess up the timing or you forward dash and waste time, but with the destroyer you can mash A once the pizza drops to make sure you don't move past it.

Just had a great run with the Justicar going. Only 1 Ops pack used almost done with wave 5 at about 11-12 minutes!!

Disconnected for servers b/c my gold account ran out! I forgot to change my billing options last month when my credit card expired- DERP!

There seems to be a misunderstanding in the HOF... I never did the insanity version of this  week's 'indoctrinated' challenge, the 29:52 time was for hardcore with crappy objectives.
But anyways I will try the insanity version I guess, quite enjoying this challenge actually and you do not need Cyclonic IVs which is a good thing...

Thanks for the honesty! My mistake, I must have assumed because I saw 4 gold medals or something. Yes, no cyclonics is always a plus! The vid quality is fine. I'm used to the shaky cam! I'll aim for 22 mins when I attempt these tonight! 

@kocka: That is rough! It always happens like that though. Something random has to ruin the best runs!
