Loved that attempted A-bomb troll on wave 10 that didn't have its desired effect

 

Noticed that MrsFlyingKebab got 75 kills, but a bronze AR kill medal.  Wasn't watching the kill feed closely, but I guess firesplosions off her incendiary ammo accounted for a fair number; shows there are ways of playing the TGI effectively other than pure gunplay.

Just for future reference, can someone break down the incendiary glitch for me?  I really never understood it and I want to make sure we aren't accidentally using it in challenge attempts.  We all pretty much just steered clear of inci ammo last time just in case...

The incendiary glitch is when you apply incendiary ammo along with certain other damage over time powers, specifically Warp; I believe Incinerate also has this effect, but Warp is the most noticeable. It does much more damage than it's supposed to, to the point where things die with absurd quickness. The effect also accelerates when used with a rapid fire weapon.

Yes, if incendiary ammo is rolled into another "fire" DOT, it will inherit the defense multipliers from that power.

 

The glitch with rapid fire weapons happens with or without adding to another power.  Really whenever IA DOT is recalculated due to application during the DOT.

In any case, here's the other one we succeeded on from the same night.  This one was a bit easier I thought, but I almost ruined it by going down on wave 3.  Still fun stuff!

Also Flamer and Inferno Grenade (I think its just those 4- Warp, Inc, Flamer, Inf 'nade- but I may be forgetting one)

I probably wouldn't recommend using IA on a kit that has a glitchable power (that you've specced into, i.e. disqualifying a no-Flamer GT or something).. On the challenges that specify no Incendiary glitch I tend to just avoid using IA at all if anyone on the team has a glitchable power. I don't mean to speak for Prestacious here, but it'd probably be wise (IMO at any rate) to just err on the safe side and use something else- it'd be a shame to spend time doing a challenge only to find out its disqualified...

And I say that as someone who loves some Incendiary cheese.. My current ammo inventory looks something like this:

- @Justinman, the incendiary glitch is pretty easy to achieve, and it can also shred a significant amount of time off of a run. I have pretty much allowed it for solo runs unless otherwise stated. I've also been pretty lenient with it in the past and I'm trying just to prevent it from being completely abused in duos, trios or team runs. If you can, use a different ammo when using a glitchable power That being said, it's unlikely that I not accept a challenge unless it's a new record and everyone is incendiary glitching. 

- Also, you may have noticed the formatting for entries in some of the other posts. For team matches, it's simple: {link}time - name 1 l name 2 l name 3 l name 4{end of link} It just makes it significantly quicker to update and that factors in when there are 50 runs to add to the HoF. Much appreciated!

Typically yes, but in the original weekly series, soloing platinum was not a thing people did. So hardcore and insanity were both gold but insanity had tougher kits and requirements  For that series, the platinum version of those challenges became Epic and Legendary versions.
