If you're asking how many HMs are fired, it's 3, from the 'hydra missiles' evolution (6a), otherwise it would be 1.

I didnt get if it s fired at will (press 2) and with no CD ? I didnt see any CD with them neither a charge number like with siege pluse. Lol, i just should try them.

I feel much worse about that w8 nuke that killed nothing at all.

Well, that **** happens a lot... at least to me too, same reason, dealing with pressure end runs. I think it s even more linked to the time u allready spent soloing than the harder wave
 

If you stand at the middle pillar, stuff can spawn behind you, next to the phone booth, and give you a nasty surprise. The booth gives more cover too, though it's kinda tricky with banshee warps.

I m failed a few attempts on the GI neuchatel run. but was close each time obj didnt troll me. But i dont think i ll keep on with plat solos, they still feel like a grind, enjoyable most of the duration, but outcome is 80-90% luck at my level.

Ah. You don't have to do anything except turn HM on (once). It's a mode, like hunter mode, or bloodlust, not a regular power. Once it's on, the missiles fire automatically (no button-pressing required) at whatever is in your sights (the selected target) at regular time intervals (a couple seconds, not sure). I guess that's what you see as 'charging'. If there are no enemies in your sites, no missiles are fired.

 

The missiles don't 'see' cloaked units until you 'select' them (like with warp and other targeted powers). With the 6a evolution, the first missile will always hit the enemy you have 'selected', and the additional 2 will hit any close-by enemies (even if they're cloaked, I think I've seen it happen, but I wouldn't swear on it); or if there's nothing in range but your target, all 3 will hit it.

 

But yes, definitely try yourself!

 

Also yeah, I hear you on the general topic of plat solos, each still takes me dozens of attempts. I don't mind much, though, I like the sense of achievement and I still have so much to improve on. Not planning to stop any time soon.

Pfft, my success rate at N2.III and N3.III is close to 1:50. I'm rapidly approaching that number again as I am now getting my aggression inhibitors overloaded by N4.II....

Ha, that's my next project. Already had a couple failed games, tried different things: rely more on the gun (not the best option with my lame aim), rely more on powers, make TBs with disruptor ammo... nothing really seems to work, crusader too heavy. How'd you set him up? And what's your missile strategy for reapers? I always feel like nuking waves 1 & 2 even though the wave budget is hardly worth it.

I used incendiary ammo for mine but relied mostly on the crusader for kills, it was a very weapon-based gameplay. I don't like that loud glass shattering noise from snap freeze so used that as little as possible and didn't detonate much. Flame shield was mostly for smacking away husks if I felt too lazy to just shoot them and the occasional phantom with her barrier down. 

 

My spawn-nuking strategy, using AC V:

w8: 3, 2 if w6 was targets

w9: 1, 0 if w6 was targets

skipped Cyone because I died at the top of a ladder, slipped down, gelled, got stuck midway up the ladder and then got shot to death over and over again by phantom palm blasters in w9 until I had no medigel left, did I ever mention that I hate this game.

I TSent. One of the easiest and definitely the most enjoyable plat solo I've done to date. Made it on 3rd try (!) despite having to pick up the phone during w9 and then mistakenly spending my last nuke on a lovely prime-banshee-prime threesome, which resulted in w10 lasting for 10 min or so. But hey!

 

I'll be taking a break from the weeklies now for some N7s.

my third attempt the power went out at my house for no apparent reason whatsoever in w10 when I got a cheese hack and had 3 missiles 4 ops and 5 medigel left

my fourth attempt at this the escort drone fell through the map on w10 and never came back 

my fifth attempt I went ballistic during w4 and used all my missiles

my sixth attempt I died in W1 then used all my missiles in w1 then quit

- N7-Gerbil achieves "Consensus" for completing all team challenges in "Servant of the People" (on insanity)

- Ex-clusum, AW_FC, Tupari and Muah Muah set the new Platinum record for "Special Ops Reinforcements!"

- ctc sets an astounding new record for Venom AI at just over 16 mins!! The 4th fastest time in the history of the thread! That also marks the thread's 80th sub-20 solo time! He also crushes the record for Peak 17 (Epic)! Not to mention new record for "Merely The Weapon" Insanity. You've been busy! Great stuff.

- Smehur with two Epic Solos (literally) - "The Destroyer of Worlds" and "Indoctrinated" - Most impressive! Good luck with the insanity N7 solos.

- MuahMuah with a 16:08 on VI Overlord clinches the second quickest overall solo time in the thread! Amazing!

- Areksto completes The Tiers of Neufchatel as well, and with a total time of 137mins, achieves "San Joaquin Gold", "Roquefort Strong" and is only the 4th to achieve "Durrus" as well (The latter for going sub 150 mins in the series). He also goes sub-20 on "Widow's poison", a noteworthy 4th sub-20 time in this thread!

- TechnoTurian reaches N1 Overloaded! With 2 new records set (see below) and then beats her own record for N2.1, just cause (That challenge is basically Technos btw.) Great to have you back doing incredible solos!

- The Nightslasher crushes the insanity record for "Survive" Great solo!
