Alrighty, so it only took a full day of working on it here and there.. but the HoFs are updated-ish! The one thing still pending is the completionist categories for FFTL (I know, I know.. the suspense! - working on award banners and such for those, that should be up in the next couple days!)

 

- Great runs all around and great friendly competition. I saw times get quicker and quicker for certain challenges as I updated which was neat.

- Also special congrats to MuahMuah for earning the Survivalist badge and to x3lander on earning the Star of Terra!

- Rank up as well for XAN1_95 to N1 and rank up to N5 HamleticTortoise!! Impressive progress! Great work as well Emexxia! If you don't get that BPP soon, we may have to think of alternatives til you get it

 

Duo HoF will be updated next as well. Hang in there! I'd say slow down with all these submissions, but that's not what we want! Bring them on! They'll all get to the HoF soon enough!

A tortoise playing a space lizard on too much coffee Learning to use the recon mine to bottleneck and slow enemies down was key in completing the devices. Though it took a fair amount of tries to get it done, I found this one to be real fun!

 

Now if you will excuse me, I am off to what could be a looooooong stay on Arvuna. 6.3 looks like a challenge worthy of that name, I suspect I will need more than a few tries to solve it!

Anyway, took me some tries few days ago as i couldnt accept i couldnt play it like a glacier speedrun with a talon. I even refused to ops pack cause i could nt believe i wld drop . This morning after a not so bad <6 hours of sleep uninterrupted, thx kid, i tried to enjoy the claymore more, and i did. Trolly respawned phantom were trolly, but i gotta say, claymore vanguard is pretty amazing against those tiny things. Had fun to nova cancel the escort w6 in middle of the goons and phantoms, maybe i got lucky cause none took me.

The novaguard is really smtg, i wonder why it s not so easy to make it work on plat solos, cause novacancel and charge are incredible.

Plat has more damage and more stagger. Charge has wonky DR mechanics and the increased damage means you sometimes come out of charge without shields or near enough, which is a death sentence. Stagger fest waves screw with the i-frames from Nova.

 

Cyclonic is practically a necessity on Plat.

i guess i was lucky cause i made most of the long escort in the middle of at least 2 goons and 2 phantoms and could nova cancel all the way without taking cover. Had to charge a bit phantoms though. But if an atlas missile wld have been involved or some geth....

Right you are, it was a silly thing to do, but I had a long string of rage-quits on or before w3 because stupid deaths and other feats of scrubbery, so I just wanted to get past that as quickly as possible. But yeah, this is like my third or fourth solo where I had no nukes for w10 cleanup, I obviously need to rethink my strategies.

For example starting wave 9 of N6.I with 3155 consumables and ending it with 0004.... then making it through wave 10 and failing to extract on 11 cause of the f*cking toasters' turrets and drones...

 

I suspect I'll be shopping for a new keyboard tomorrow.

This one was horribly difficult. Never have I been downed as much on wave 5 Nemeses are to be reckoned with on this map. The first time I made it to extraction, I got downed with 13 seconds to go Both escorts went through the yard on this one. I still had 5 missiles left for wave 10, I saw devices pop up, I nearly unplugged my pc. Had to use all missiles just for the first device, which spawned in line of sight of four phantoms and an atlas, which then refused to be kited away. Completing the others, then finishing cleanup with nothing but one gel left, was somewhat tense.

 

I had to accept I couldn't do it with the Mattock, and find a way to make the Mantis work. I owe a huge thank you to MuahMuah: your most recent video of this challenge was instrumental! While I am far from your incredible skills in this game, it did show me that an AR/conc shot build was in fact viable, and it did show me which spots I could use to wallhack. Unlike you, I specced three ranks in the grenades, for when I inevitably missed the dragoons, and needed some instant stagger to make my escape.

Might need something of a break before seriously attempting 7.I, though the idea of being done with cerberus in this series is quite appealing
