w10 turned into a garbage dump because an escort drone decided it would go through the enemies and the missile did not actually kill them despite the direct hit. this all happened inside of the swarm. 

 

when all this was said and done i was definitely experiencing anger and decided i was done for the night with this video game and went to play other video games instead.

Our first 10WS in this series Just an incredible match, with good movement, checking flanks, setting up fields of fire... and of course triple Turian Sentinels Wave 10 escort and clean up were performed with extreme use of missiles. A really fun game!

The first four tries ended in rage quits during wave 6 devices. This one gave me devices on waves 3 and 10 One-shotting bubbled phantoms is just cathartic but you better not miss dragoons, or you'll quickly end up wasting two gels and two packs (not that I would know of course )

I approve of the modesty but we all know it would've been more like 1 months, 3 days later if you didn't get burned out on this game roughly at the same time when you started this series. What did it take for Ariake, 2-3 tries spaced over as many months? Don't deny you said 'no' when I asked you last night if this, one of the hardest and most horrible challenge in the thread, was horribly hard. 

 

None of which diminishes this awesome accomplishment. Congratulations, my dear Clusum.

I still don't feel pleasure from soloing but i got back just for this particular challenge because i was inspired by TheThechnoTurian insane run and i really wanted to sub 20.I could do it with 10WS but died during 2 wave like a boss.

Well, I intended to only post complete rank-ups but it seems it's going to take me longer than I thought for some, so here's everything I have so far:

 

N7 Challenges Series (Gold)

 

N3 - The Powers of Old unite

N3.I - Chooser of the Slain

31:25 - Lvca_gr (301 126 pts)

Hack (glitched) / Devices / Objects. First try ended grabbed by a banshee on a device (it was either that or running out of time). Despite not being able to spawn control nor nuke effectively on both runs, had a lot of fun because of on-host annihilation field. And I really like this kit. Devices on wave 6 meant no Banshees so, while time-consuming, it wasn't too difficult this time.

 

N3.III - Awakening the Eye of Wrath

29:35 - Lvca_gr (257 011 pts)

Escort / Hack / Hack (both glitched). Had at least three tries ending on devices either wave 6 or ten. At first I was using AP ammo, but then I realized Shockwave + Drill ammo makes phantoms a lot easier to handle. Still, I was impaled once (but I survived, yay op packs). First hack was the one that is difficult to glitch left of the upper section, but I managed to do it (thanks muahmuah). I saved two nukes for wave 10 just in case, and left one for extraction because Jade and goons. 

 

N3.II will be done when I max the guns (currently at VIII and IX) because I'm one of those weird people that actually value short cooldowns, even more so when I'm going to need to spam energy drain to stay alive.

 

N4 - Vital Signs

N4.I - Servant of the People

35:35 - Lvca_gr (278 396 pts) 10WS

Objects / Escort / Hack (glitched). First try ended grabbed by a banshee on W10, so I played more careful on the next one. First 10WS on the series. Terrible nuke usage (not a single killstreak) and a bit too much tactical repositioning (AKA running away).  I can't hit teleporting banshees with the Javelin unless they come in a straight line at me  .

 

N4.II - Morning war

25:39 - Lvca_gr (237 680 pts)

Objects / Objects / Objects   . Nearly used GCV, but in the end, I'm too much of a scrub to forgo Geth Scanner. Two runs ended with W10 devices (one also had W6 devices) in the open and primes that wouldn't be kited away or that would each one pick a sniper nest and you know the rest.

 

For N4.III (annihilation) I had a successful run that I didn't screenshot because I thought I needed 3WS  , and one where I didn't get the medal requirements by a single grab or killstreak. Since that one every retry ended grabbed by a banshee, be it on devices or just in normal waves 

 

N5 - Omega Forces

N5.I - Bray-Fist

29:41 - Lvca_gr (279 395 pts) 10WS

Objects / Targets / Escort. Easiest one so far. A tanky vanguard, with a powerful shotgun against geth? Where do I sign for more of those?. Done on the first try, and without hassle. Terrible nuking as always. 

 

N5.II - Kill Them!

Targets / Objects / Hack (glitched). Surprisingly fun. The first run was going so well I got overconfident and ended up bleeding out after wasting 5 gels 2 ops packs and derping a missile on, guess what, W10 devices. Second one I played worse, but I made it. I got to thank TTT for her video, cause I basically did the same she did, but worse.

 

N5.III I'll do when I forget how much I hate Goddess.

N6 - The Scope of Perspective

N6.I - Garrus Calibration's part 2 - Archangel

Hack / Hack / Hack. Played like an enormous derp and didn't glitch any (and they were easy) so lots of kiting were needed. First try as a Cryo soldier ended when I had a power sortage. Second, grabbed by a Banshee on wave 9. Third, I didn't get 5WS with an incendiary ammo - Concussive shot fire exploder. This is the fourth, again as a Fire exploder. Couldn't aim well the hole match, and using Power Amp instead of Cyclonics made me not as tanky, and both things forced me to stay more at range than I'd like. May try with cyclonics when I get Sniper Rifle mastery done again. 

 

N6.II - Next of Kin

Escort / Devices / Hack. Got disconnected (EA servers down screen too) when I was about to deliver the second wave 10 pizza   . Time would have been around 35 min. Also, my poor laptop can't handle collectors and Recon mine, my FPS drop to around 20 from 32-40 when there are more than 3 enemies being affected and I look at them. So for this run I just wanted to make it done, even if it involved using RM more of a Abomination killer than a group debuffer/slower. In yet another moment of brilliance I chose Shield Power Cells instead of power amp and had to detonate RM from cloak to kill said abominations  . I also need to L2use the Valiant, cause I try to get a high fire rate and I end up missing half the shots.

 

Those two were done the same day (yesterday), and my aiming and general play was terrible on both.

 

N6.III - Ash

Escort / Escort / Escort. Pretty relaxing. Used a Tech Burst machine build. Gameplay based on muahmuah's (thanks again). Had to kite a lot to get the escorts done. This one was the first N6 I did, and the one challenge that finally taught me to kite on cerberus escorts after not one, but two wave 6 escort phantom impalements. Wasn't aiming for 10WS (i never do), but when W7 passed and I hadn't died, which is not usual when cerberus is involved, I decided to go for it.

 

N7 - Spectre Eligible

N7.I - The Shepard Clone's War, Part 3 - Spectre Status Recognized

34:19 - Lvca_gr (275 524 pts) 10WS

Targets / Objects / Devices. Tackled it yesterday after doint N6.I and II, and still remembering my N4.III woes, more as a test than anything, but my aiming came back a bit, and I was having fun. Used a 56645 build and the drone proved vital to get the devices done. Actually, I got the 50 tech kills medal on wave 4 and the SMG medals one on wave 10. The exploding drone tech bursted and fire exploded many phantoms and groups. It still took three tries. First one I bled out on wave 10 devices after completing the third but getting cornered by phantoms and the atlases. Second one I rage quit on wave 4 after running out of ops packs and dying. In the third I had to use the cleanup missile to clear a device, but I did them in the end. Cleanup took forever though. Same as with N6.III, after surviving wave 7 I decided to try and go for 10WS.

 

 

And that's it so far. My conclusions up to now are:

- I have a serious L2P issue regarding banshees and reapers in general.

- I like soloing against cerberus.

- I hate goddess even more than I thought

 

Funny bit, I'm considering going for End scene and even Ariake before returning to the failed challenges

 

PS: nearly forgot, does the 10WS medal count towards the 4 gold medals requirement for N7.II and N7.III?

Btw, shout-out to all of you who post videos of challenges. I try watch a several of those for each challenge and then shamelessly copy them to the best of my abilities  . They make the challenges easier.

This thread (and the duo thread) has kept me playing this game far longer than I would have thought. No need to worry, I am on a break from N7 right now, it was turning into too much Serious Business and not enough fun . You might watch out for emexxia though, she is also very close to finishing the series

this one turned into my foil. Great kit, great weapon, thought I'd get it in only a few tries. Unfortunately, I didn't consider how devastating drones are in this setting took way many more tries than I care to admit, though getting it done with double devices, the very last of wave 6 being the one fully exposed by the mako too, makes it more epic... and even less likely I will ever go back to this one I have gotten so few hacks in my tries, I didn't even stand on the right side of the button for a possible glitch

 

All that's left now is a leisurely stroll on Palaven's moon... off to see if completing Ariake will double my current total time or not

Targets / Objects / Escort. My last 4 million credits spent in the store have returned zero weapon upgrades, so I've run out of patience and I've done it already. I need to learn to use the venom, but otherwise it wasn't too bad. First and only try. I would like to redo it tweaking a bit the build, but it's still goddess.

 

N4.III - Annihilation

Targets / Targets / Hack. Not happy at all with the time, but it's done too. Spend way too much time farming grabs and then I forgot how many medals I needed so tried to farm SMG kills too (and failed). This time I kept my distance from the banshees, resulting in a lot of running around.

 

N5.III - Retake Omega Part 3 - The Intangible is Unstoppable

Targets / Escort / Escort. One word: Goddess. Framerate dropped to 20 all the match, I even got worried I broke the laptop, but then I tried N3.II and FPS went back to 30-sth. Aiming was quite complicated, but on the upside turrets needed a lot of time to lock on, which in turn allowed me to relax a bit. I still managed to get myself killed by one on W10, robbing me of 10WS. Forgot to nuke and still had 4 missiles at the end on W10.

 

In general I just played to survive, defensively, so I'm not too happy with these since I want to learn to play aggresively while still surviving, which is what in general I tried to do on those I did before (with various degrees of success   ).

 

I'm also a bit scared, cause I'm not getting devices, which means I'll get them on the challenges that are left.

 

PS: tried Ariake    and died on w7. The time was 40 min. If I ever complete it it's going to be a new record  .
