Escort / Escort / Devices. Two bad escorts, both times going through the spawns. Devices without Ops Packs, and two of them in the open (where the two central hacks appear). The Black Widow IX doesn't kill Hunters with a headshot even cloaked with phasics (don't know if it can at X), leaving them with a single bar of health. Double primes each on their own so no nukes. But it's done  , and in only two tries (three if I count the experiment I did with Disruptor and shield power cell since i'm really low on CIV)

 

Only Ariake remains.

Extract from all 5 stages on Hardcore difficulty with a total cumulative time of more than 100 mins. Test failed, but a valiant effort nonetheless!

 

Does it have to be Hardcore (gold)? I see a placeholder for Insanity too in the HoF but the above makes it sound like one gets no title/banner/closure for doing platinum stuff in over 100 min. Guessing it's a typo but better safe than sorry.

Very nicely done,but you should keep the rockets from first and second wave.These waves are with the smallest budgets so you don't need nukes.For example you had to kite so much during 5 ,8,9 waves which cost you a lots of time.So in my opinion your time could be much better.Anyway,nice time.

Eh, I know. But if you only knew how many ragequits I had on the first 2 waves you'd understand. For some reason the hardest part of this challenge was not spending all my consumables by w6. I was already pretty pissed off when I was doing this one, likely after 10 attempts that each lasted less than 2 minutes. Otherwise I might've not nuked the two stuck atlases on w2, but that w1 was a must.

Yes but doesn't worth to lose rockets in the first waves because they are more useful in the later waves.You could pass 8 and 9 waves in no time with a right nukes placement.

Many thanks, I hope it doesn't take too long for you too. Read this yesterday but I was too angry to post. It helped, however  .

 

So:

 

N7.III - Ariake

Targets / targets / Hack. It's been a total of three tries. First one I already spoke of, and was a test. Second one (yesterday) I got disconnected    on wave 9 after 92 minutes of gameplay. Nearly uninstalled the game. Third would be this one. I was going a lot faster than previously, until double banshees appeared. Wave 5 was tough and Wave 8 took forever, because I wasted two nukes on Targets wave 3 (one derped trying to get a switch an the other to avoid running out of time, there were 10 seconds left on the timer), and decided to save them for 9 and 10. Wave 9 I did manage to nuke the first spawn and that sped up that wave considerably. Still, I kept 3 for W10 just in case. My general thought being I'd rather not endure something like this again to cut 5 minutes of the final time. My strategy of not taking -any- risks meant I was health gated once in the whole match (nearly had a heart attack there), and shield gated only twice.

 

And that's it. I'll join Emexia and Frank in thanking everybody, specially Prestacious and video posters.

 

Now I wonder, what will I do next? 

 

Probably a break from solos , lol

Such a fun rumble! And considering it's Hydra/Geth, that is saying something! The game even threw us a wave 6 device in the middle of the courtyard. Nothing Shepard and Wrex couldn't handle.

 

III. "Only one way to settle this."

This was almost 10WS, but meleeing husks on wave 1 ends into getting grabbed and downed by marauders the one thing we did settle however, is that the Wrex clan doesn't need to use missiles to clean up objective waves. Dakka dakka and headbutts, who wants to make that faster?

We were commenting just before starting how "no bleedouts" and "only Joram Talid must extract" made such a small difference from asking full extraction... then Cerberus obligingly showed us that that difference is big enough to fit a krogan like so many others before, the Shaman got downed with 00:01 left by a dragoon.

Those objectives are the most fortunate I had in this entire series, and of course, I glitched 'em all.

Saving three missiles for w10 ended up being really advantageous, otherwise, this solo would have been significantly slower. Devices actually weren't that bad, they all spawned at opposite ends of the map and I didn't even have to kite enemies from them.

Wow congratulations on all the completions! I've missed so many great runs and a few new N7 officers!! Great job guys (tears build up in eyes)* Unfortunately, still no update ( this may be the longest stretch without one), but there will be a massively massive update on the 18th! I have some major licensing exams and can't in good conscience justify spending time not studying/working atm. I haven't forgotten the threads though.

 

And to Emexxia, frank, DJ39 and lvca: Your N7 vip officer invites are in the mail! Congrats guys! Thank you for participating and making this thread awesome!

Finally completed one of these challenges! The restrictions impose a very careful playstyle, and objective waves become very tense affairs.

Not surprisingly, our first success came against the faction that cannot bombard you with grenades while you are doing devices though the game did gift us with the reactor hack on wave 10, just what our hearts needed

Ensuring the necessary medals dropped cost us a bit of resources, but freed us from worries going into late waves. The sound of Emexxia's QFE discharging her GPS behind me scared the beejesus out of me on numerous occasions

My heart did burn alright for this one I found it incredibly difficult. There are so many openings through which you can get sniped, while you need to get in close to be effective. Abominations are a real threat, and once you used flamer on them, you better have an escape route available  Once I got to wave 8 without dying, I got really careful, which explains the long completion time.

 

A big thank you to TheTechnoTurian for uploading her video, which really helped me to eventuallly figure this one out!

I take the opposite approach: if a solo involving the Vorcha Sentinel powerhouse take me this long, then Ariake...

 

I have made a couple of tries already actually. It's definitely doable, the biggest obstacle is keeping focused for that long (and it will be long ). Also, I really don't like click-click-click weapons, so that's another frustrating factor right there - and I do know that technically the scimitar is auto-fire, but I would like the solo to take less than a full day. I am not going to bang my head on it, it could all too easily turn me off. A try here and there, until I get it

 

That said, I do appreciate the pep talk, and the thought behind it rest assured, I will get it done!
