Haven't done a sub 30 yet vs Reapers with the GT so I decided to give this themed challenge a try. Time really wasn't the greatest due to devices on 6 and general scrubiness. But I'm happy to get this done on the first try - GT/Acolyte isn't that fun.

So I couldn't wait.
Gordian Hour II - Anger

Wave 1 death, another round of devices....just an overall uncomfortable run. I think objectives were escort, escort, devices (or were devices wave 6...don't remember) video here.
I also gave #3 a try and got devices on 3 and 10, so that ended well. Maybe tomorrow.

Gordians were my last unfinished business, had to dethrone the gerbil lodestar for Reasons. Was kind of difficult, I'm quite burned out and bored with ME3 MP lately and not wanting to play it that much

Hey guys! HoF partially updated!
I've reached about mid page 433 with the updates and will try to continue tomorrow! Thanks for hanging in there and again sorry for the much less frequent updates. Unfortunately, this will be the norm, it seems, as I just don't have the same free time anymore. I hope you're all doing well and congratulations to 3 years of this thread and group! As always, it's a pleasure to update the HoF with these incredible runs.
Pres out

I've been eying this thread for months now and I've had some trouble just understanding how the challenges worked, which ones were still relevant etc.
I also needed to find at least one partner as one of the things that really interested me in themed challenges is the idea to do them with other players, way more fun as far as I'm concerned.
Not easy to find a partner ! You need to find someone with enough skills to do the challenges, then he has to be willing to do them, then you need to find time to play together with time and time difference as a huge problem and then there's the lag issue..... A lot of things to go around.
Anyways, this is just a little message to proudly announce that after watching the greatness from the bench for ages, thanks to a recommendation from Admiral Hacket, I'll be making my debut to theme-save the Galaxy, hopefully uploading a first run sometime during the week. Excited to joined the glorious team, I hope I'll be up to the task and if I die, may it be Claymore in hand so I can join my Krogan brothers in Valhalla.

Welcome to the best thread in BSN.
Afaik all challenges are still open for submissions. There are different sets (e.g. Survive The Gordian Hour, AW_FC's “For Tuchanka!”, Omega On Fire etc.) Just check the rules for your choosen challenge (they differ) and don't forget to screen cap or even better record a vid.
As for duos you may want to have a look into the dedicated Duo thread as well.

There is this one guy called ex-clusum...
I'd provide help as well, but I fail in the skill department. And I rarely play more than 1-2 games per session. But you can ad me anyway, maybe we'll find some time for the fast "7 Tiers of Neufchatel" ![]()
And finally a fair warning: some of those challenges are rage inducing like hell but you may get addicted for months.

Would highly recommend doing the plat duo series on 300+ ms lag on a host that is the better part of a couple continents and an ocean away from you, makes it way more fun tbh

Welcome to the best thread in BSN.
Thanks for the welcome and tips. I've seen a few challenges that seemed fun and not too hard. I'm gonna stick with easy ones for now and yeah I'll be recording for sure. Sure, if you're on PC I'll look you up and add you. I actually found the perfect partner for the job, just need to figure out which challenge to do together. The hard part is some of them gets one of you an awesome kit and weapon, the other, not so much... I would have liked to try - Blue Rose of Illium – part 2 - for instance (still haven't found part 1), but as much as I'd love to play an Asari Vanguard with Talon, I know how bad I would be as a Korgan Shaman Adept with Lancer (not that I would actually be good with an Asari Vanguard).
Some of the challenges look ridiculously hard indeed, I mean they don't necessarily look that tough when you start reading, then you learn you have to play with the Kishock or get a 10WS or both.... haha. But yeah I get how it can get addictive. I would have done some single challenges (actually maybe I already have done one or two without even knowing), but I've already wasted too much time on gold and platinum solos. This thread is really the occasion for me to have some fun with friends doing something challenging, defined by a fun and surprisingly well written backstory that gets my Krogan blood pumping.
One question, obviously I will make sure to closely read the rules when we've selected a challenge but as long as it's not specified in the rules, I should be allowed to use any gear and equipement right ? Like if the rules do not state that we cannot use Geth Scan then it should be okay to use it. It's probably obvious but I want to make sure.

300+ms lag - Well I do admit that was fun to watch, but heeeeeeell naaaw
Plat - My partner is extremely skilled but she's only 10 months into the game with not a great experience in Platinum. So, considering the challenges can get extremely demanding, I imagine it would take a lot of effort, tears, broken bones, blood, wine and a heart of stone (yes, I'm referencing the Witcher) from both of us to succeed on platinum. I really wanna do this for fun so I will probably stick to gold, maybe some silver too.
Ocean's apart - check

Welcome to the madness! ![]()
If you are interested in duos, the 7 Tiers of Neufchatel are a great place where to start: great kits, great weapons, no extra requirements, perfect to get a feel for how playing the game with two players differs from both solos and team games.
After that, I think just going for what interests you is the best idea
blue rose of illium part 2 is actually a great place where to start! The Shaman with the Lancer definitely surprised me in how effective it was!
I will second frank_is_crank's suggestion to head over to the duo challenges' thread too. Many of the challenges for series 2.0 don't have strict requirements (though a few are jaw-droppingly tough), and are great places where to start.
Don't let the requirements worry you! I am far from the best player out there, yet I teamed up with Emexxia - who lives halfway around the world from me - and we completed both sets of challenges in the duo thread (on gold)
and if I can do it, everyone can
Anything not clearly stated is good to use! As far as duos go, most variation is in whether you are allowed to use missiles on extractions, and some sets forbid "clever use of game mechanics", such as pizza running and hack glitching (and inc ammo glitch). To my recollection, Fight for the Lost is the one series which has the strictest requirements.
Feel free to add me too if you'd like
I am always down for more challenges ![]()

Welcome to the madness!
Thanks
. Still going through various challenges, so many of them, so many links I kinda get lost ! I'm really not worried about the challenge, as long as it's not platinum, I'm quite confident I can do many of them. I actually have done several duos with my brother in the past, both platinum and gold, but never with specific rules and goals so I wanna make sure to get that right.
Going through the 7 Tiers of Neufchatel right now !
Edit : Oh you were right, not many requirements for those ones, I think I'll start with something more difficult and do some of these on platinum.

That isn't 300+ms. It's looking more like 600ms lag or packet losses over 50%.
----
I want to sign up for completing some of these challenges. Initially I am interested in 7 Tiers of Neufchatel. Seems quite fun and doable. Hardcore/gold difficulty initially. Any body else looking for a partner to complete 7 Tiers of Neufchatel feel free to add me in Origin and/or send a message on BSN telling me about their username. My origin ID is same as BSN username I would prefer if the other teammate is from UK and nearby only coz of ping. I get a bit high ping to USA and Australia so don't want to be a burden and fail the challenge series for something that isn't possible for me to avoid/resolve.

I guess I should have added the disclaimer that the gif was included for comedic purposes and not actually representative of the average pings to that particular host, which were usually in the 300-350ms range

Nah it's fine. I intended my reply to be a bit funny too. On a serious note that lag is looking more like some major packet loss. 250-350ms ping with no packet loss and min jitter shouldn't cause that much rubberbanding. Or maybe there is some other factor that causes rubberbanding/teleportation that needs to be investigated. ![]()

Survive the Gordian Hour
Stage 2 - Rebirth
I basement camped the hell out of this and was instantly health-gated every time I so much as stepped a toe out of cover. This solo was pretty much miserable in all ways, but I wanted to get this out of the way and then have an easy time doing Asari Valkyrie on White.

Gordian Hour III - Bargaining

Pizza, Pizza, Hack. Should've been faster but I played too safe, although I did manage to dodge an Atlas rocket and made it look easy.
Video here. (Should be ready in an hour or two)
Gordian Hour IV - Depression

Hack, Targets, Devices. My scrubbery on full display here.
edit: video here
Just one more to go!

Yeah I think I'll do that, I've no idea where it originated, I don't know how you guys do it, there are challenges all over the place ! You got different threads, different sets, series, difficulties, requirements, rules, conditions... Haha it's too much for me right now.
Congrats on your challenge btw, can't remember the specifics of it but I've been seeing that Gordian Hour a lot lately, it's one of the newest iirc, what kit did you have for the Bargaining and Depression stages ?
