I can see how it's alot at first. This thread and group grew a lot bigger than initially anticipated! Basically, if you scroll down in the original post for this thread, you'll see banners and links to all the series that originated from here. They're essentially all still open. The duo thread is only for 2 duo-only series. And all of these can be accessed from the themed challenge group menu on the right hand side. Everyone here is super helpful as well so feel free to ask. There are some awesome N7 officers around

Yeah I think I'll do that, I've no idea where it originated, I don't know how you guys do it, there are challenges all over the place ! You got different threads, different sets, series, difficulties, requirements, rules, conditions... Haha it's too much for me right now.

 

Congrats on your challenge btw, can't remember the specifics of it but I've been seeing that Gordian Hour a lot lately, it's one of the newest iirc, what kit did you have for the Bargaining and Depression stages ?

Hey light robot. Welcome! As Clyde said, there are a number of series in here with duo and even trio and team challenges, and it's fine to post them here. The only ones that usually go in the duo thread are the duo challenge series 1 and 2. Cheers!

Ok, I think I get it, mine is actually from series 2, so I guess it didn't originate from this thread but from the -Themed Duo Challenge Series and Hall of Fame- (I'll call it TDCSHF from now, wait it's still too long, TDC it is). It makes more sense to post it there... yeah I'm confident about my understanding of this puzzling dillema, I'll just go for it ! Thanks again for the guidance.

I see, the Gordian look like an brilliant series, I'm currently trying to do the Gordian Exception, then I will probably go for the Gordian Paradox and maybe the Gordian Anomaly. Well, I'm getting ahead of myslef as I'm still stuck with a Fury/Arc Pistol run.

I had the idea of making a bet with N7-Gerbil and TheTechnoTurian -- slowest total time in this series once we have all completed it has to buy the other two lunch next time we meet IRL.

HoF updated! (aside from sub-20 HoF - I will get to it, promise!)

 

- Congrats to TheTechnoTurian, the new Lodestar!   TechnoTurian current holds the record for both Hardcore and Insanity total times for the Gordian Hour, the requisite to earn and hold the prestigious title! You have definitely set the precedent for those aspiring to survive the really really tough series. Thanks to everyone who has participated in it so far! It's intended to be enjoyable for those looking to push their own limits but also really challenging for those who like to push their times to the extremes (sub-20).

 

As of today, we have a total of 5 soloists who have survived the Gordian Hour and many more who have fought bravely but have not yet escaped the harsh conditions of the deadliest place in the galaxy (dum dum dummmm...) We also have 3 who have defied the odds and completed the series on both hardcore and insanity! Great stuff guys!

 

Duo HoF update is inbound and you may catch me booting up the old xbox360 tomorrow for the thread's official 3 year anniversary!  Perhaps I'll join those lost to the Gordian Hour!

I don't even need to do the maths or even check other player's runs to realize that if you add my 2 fastest runs, they still combine into a longer time than the faster contestant's whole 3 matches. On the other hand, I prioritized quality over speed.....................OKAY, that's a lie.

You may want to check the title of the vid for III. Burn the Darkness. It reads Cerberus instead of Reapers.

Potato quality screenshot because my laptop froze during recording, so it got up until ~22 min then just quit on me. Especially annoying since I was also really close to sub-30 (which is fast for me!) and since I never solo platinum I kinda wanted to upload the video for it. The time is also my own fault because I didn't rage quit devices, and I got in the shuttle still having 1 rocket so there's my 36 seconds, big dummy!

This set doesn't look too hard to do and not many requirements so I wanna have fun with it. I would have gone with another build but I figured if I was gonna play a Krogan Vanguard, it was my duty to do a melee build and play him like I usually do on full parties or for a solo gold. Way more fun this way !

 

I was hesitating between a No Rockets and a 10WS, in the end I was able to do both. Of course all of that made this quite a long run, but hey it was really fun !
