Well, let me get in my excuses first - I'm a bit tired, I've had quite a few drinks, this was a first attempt and.................................................I'm nowhere near as good as everyone else here.

Sorry I've got no video but I won't be troubling the top of the leaderboard anyway. Here's the build I used.

I think I'll try to complete all the other challenges before improving the awful times I'll surely get. For future reference, are we allowed to nuke spawns or is that frowned upon?

^^^^ Great job on the first attempt! You beat me by a few seconds and I think I tried like 5 or 6 times. It got to the point about wave 7 or 8 for me where I just said survive no matter what, cause I don't want to try this again right away.

Cheers Kocka, I quite enjoyed it. Are you a really cautious solo'er too?

Can you answer my question about spawn nuking? I don't really want to do that but it would be handy to know if I can ease myself through a difficult challenge with copious numbers of rockets.

Yes I am very cautious, the first time, then I retry the hardcore challenge a little more risky to improve time.  

As far as rockets  you can't use AC but I use my rockets pretty liberally depending on the faction.  I like to have at least 1 going into 10 in case you get targets and can downgrade the enemy. This challenge I didn't have to use many cause it was quite easy to wipe the wave budgets by owning phantoms/dragoons.  I think I missiled double Atlas' on 5, then 2 on eight or nine for killstreaks.  I still had 3 on extraction for this one which took out single dragoons each as I camped the bridge like a baaws  for about 30 seconds.

Reapers I like to missile once on 5, a couple on 8 and 9 then once on 10 to either clean up or downgrade target. Same for Collectors.  Geth wave 5 and try to rip through 9 if I can get good spawns. F double Primes.

I watch a lot of the vids from Knocking, Smooth and Heroic or any faster console player for tips, cause they make these all look really too easy.

@cato: nice job on the run! I'm away from my pc right now but i'll be on a little later to update hof. As far as nuking spawns, kocka is spot on. No Ac, otherwise feel free to nuke spawns I just didn't want every run to have 9 missiles nuking everything.

Here's my submission for the Indoctrinated (Hardcore) challenge. Surprisingly easy this one but still not very fast at all. This was my first try and I got really lucky on objectives, drone and pizza are obviously great on Glacier but even the 4 devices wasn't too difficult.

I can't sleep so I'll just keep plugging away at these. Here's my Merely the Weapon (Hardcore) run:



My first attempt was horrible, I tried to use the Tempest as my main weapon but was just so bad with it. Switched to the Valiant for the second try and it was a lot better, here's my build.
Objectives weren't too bad - Pizza>4 devices>Drone.

Last one before I try to get some rest. This is my For Thessia run, used just the Acolyte. Also, the first time in a very long while that I've used Biotic Sphere so I was a little bit rusty to say the least.
Objectives were Targets>4 devices>Hack.



Here's the build I used, I put 3 pity points into Pull but I don't think I even used it once.

Thanks again for these challenges Prestacious, they gave this insomniac something fun to do while everyone else is asleep.

I should have missiled earlier on Escort.

I knew if I tried this I would get device shenanigans.  It took me nearly the full time on each.

It ended up being quite a nail biter. Got the 5 waves survived initially but I had absolutely no equipment left for extraction. I'm happy with the time (for me). I'll prob give the hardcore a shot to see if I can shave some time off of it.

Agreed. I never realized how effective it was against phantoms. The E-drain with DR is key as well. It's basically a stim pack. I used decoy pretty often as well. It's quite a technical character, but this challenge made me realize how powerful the salarian eng can actually be.
