Perhaps. But I learned that maybe I'll hit more things if I actually aim down the sights, which I never do with Venom, and you do all the time. Also most of your shots are uncharged, and I charge most of mine because I fool myself that I have better chances of hitting things like that. So I'll try to change these patterns next time and see if it'll help.

Bombers are the worst for me, though, I can't land a direct hit on them even when they're up my face, while you consistently get them with your first shot. I felt just as envious watching Turian's Gordian Hour with Valkyrie/venom and all the dragoons she simply shot dead, whereas I had to carpet-bomb the whole room just to keep them off me. It's not fair, the way creators distributed hand-eye coordination so unevenly.

I use charged shots only vs phantoms.With charged shot you can't miss but it's slower.And yes,the bombers are awful. :)For this challenge try to keep the most of yours consumatives for 9 wave which is critical.This is not an easy task especially during 4/5 waves.And for god sake use decoy like a crazy

This is so true. Just do it like me and stop comparing yourself with those turbo nerds in here never missing headshots and soloing plat under 20 minutes. It's a lesson I have learned (and so should you) by duoing with clusum.

You don't say. Few people here logged more hours ruining playing duos with him than me. That said - yes, I should absolutely duo with him more. Now if only he'd feel the same! 

 

Also it's ok. I don't take it to heart (anymore). I just admire others and liberally laugh at myself.

Just to make you feel even better Smehur - I haven't finished N7 yet - on gold. Most of you weren't even actively doing challenges when I started that series! Some of you are now doing it on platinum, but if I were comparing myself to you guys I'd have given up long ago we all learn and progress at our own pace.

Wise words Frank, it's a bit pointless to compete against others in this game (as in most things), some people just have more time to spend, some hack the game for objectives or always having the best consumables available, some are just better at it and there are differences between platforms. For me it's only about trying to improve my own times, not trying to "beat" someone else.

I'd just like to point out how awesome the people in this thread are. I was catching up on the posts and I'm truly impressed by all the kind words and overall support in the thread.

 

I think the friendly competition is great and has always pushed limits and continues to create new challenge records (see Duo thread update). I also agree that I think focusing on self-improvement is the best way to go about the challenges. It's also important to remember that everyone here, still competing, following the forums and regularly playing this game are really among the most involved and skilled players of ME:3. So just to be able to compete on this level speaks volumes of everyone's overall skill. 

 

Keep in mind, when the series started, the "For Thessia" gold solo was no walk in the park. I'm sure that first challenge alone cause some people to rage-quit the game, and for many out there, remains a challenge! Many of the soloists in this thread have tens and hundreds of solos and duos under their belt. It's truly impressive!

 

Anyway, that's my two cents. Thanks for being such a great bunch. I'll actually have no internet for a week as I permanently relocate to Noveria. So I'll see you guys on the flip side!

Comparing yourself with BSN-ers is not constructive because here are the best players of the game.I can say that for sure because i have played many many many challenges,pus or just wirth friends through my long ME3 career and none of them are on the level of the BSN-ers( i'm talking for the themed solo thread).So if you want to be a better player just watch the videos,play challenges and you will stay surprised what big difference there is between your current and your past times there .This thread only can make you a better player.When i started to play challenges here i was able to handle some of them but for some i thought that i have never could be able to pass.Then i tryed and failed many times but in the end i passed all of them.Now i am pretty sure that i can beat every single challenge.When you play enough challenges and games you achieve the level when you are absolutely sure in your own skills and when you get to this point you will laugh on your previuos 'me'.I blame Pres for it and of course all players i learnt from but mostly Pres because there wouldnt be that thread without him

Not improving much or enough (i had to whine a bit) but that was still fun and hard (glacier cerb... thunderdome ...) and using standard AP cyclo IV builds was clearly better.

If u guys watch the Tsent, please tell me where i could improve !

Previous good attempt on the tsent ended up on W8 start with 5 missiles: seeking the good one and finishing on a stick at 13:13 mark. Might have been around 22 with a nice W10.

I should put a clock around when speedrunning, i have absolutely no idea how the time is split

That was very good run.But if you want a better time you should play more agressively during the first waves.I noticed that you use overload on dragons rarely.Use overload on them every time thus you will stun them and it's easy to land a headshot.Anyway very good gameplay.Was very  fun to watch 6 wave.

Fun W6 indeed, most the gels and ops .
Yeah i often Overload Goons just when they r imune to it.
Btw some damage feels pretty inconsistent with this setup. I guess the valkyrie accuracy is a bit low, giving blank shot and body shot instead of HS quite often, or maybe its me . Enemy Spawn DR also surprised me here, lasting like 3 to 5 s. And i thought this build wouldn't overload phantom barrier in one hit but it did. .
I m sorry about the crappy res btw, it used to be in 480 at least with this afterburner setting or i thought i used to .
